Most helpful book
I have suffered from a stressful life and anxiety for years. This is by far the best book i have read. Downloaded it at 5am in the morning whilst in throws of severe anxiety and at once knew that I had found a most useful resource that I will repeatedly return to. So grateful to Joshua Fletcher.

Amazing!
If you or someone you know suffers (or you just want to teach someone about all of this) then just show them the first 40 minutes of this! I had a breakdown last Sunday, it's been a while since I had one but I could not shake the feeling. 20 minutes into this and it made me realize I am not losing my mind or "weird" for having these feelings. Amazing book and I would highly recommend this.

Grateful.
Five months ago I experienced something I'd never experienced before: anxiety.
lying in bed my heart was racing, I had palpitations and my mind was racing with worry. My bed sheets were soaked the next day with fear sweat.
Now not only was I worried about what was going on in my life, I was worried about my symptoms. Was it covid? Would I ever get back to normal? Or would this be me for the rest of my life?
It wasn't covid, it was a simple case of anxiety. I had never experienced just how much my mind could affect my body and it's amazing and scary in equal measure.
This went on for a few nights, even after I'd been prescribed an anti anxiety med. It wasn't going, it was getting worse.
Then I listened to this book. The message is simple: it's just anxiety. Excess adrenalin being released.
My anxiety didn't just disappear after listening, but now I broke the worry cycle: I was no longer worried about my symptoms because I understood them. Day by Day I got more and more back to my old self.
After two months had passed I had forgotten I even had anxiety. Only now, in scrolling through my audio books in my library five months on am I reminded of it. For being able to forget my anxiety I am very very grateful.

Great book
This is a great listen with so much helpful information, only problem is I listened to the second one first not realising there was a first and I had to check I wasn’t replaying the second one to start with, both books are very similar with a lot of the same information, I’m not sorry I listened to both and will buy the 3rd just due to how much I enjoyed taking it all in, I also found myself very stressed on my first listen thinking omg that’s me and oh so is that, so I found I was much more relaxed when I listened to this one, so without realising it the book obviously helped my mind and thoughts, so worth the listen if you have anxiety or unexplained health or food problems

I only finished this audible a couple of days ago, but already I feel its helped dramatically. I listened over the course of 2 weeks on my drive to work, after a couple of days I felt confident enough to lower my does of anxiety medication. this book helped to understand anxiety and what's happening within the body. thank you Mr Fletcher.
