Exercise the body and mind gently

I have always enjoyed yoga but have never heard of chair yoga. My mother is now housebound and unable to exercise as she did in the past. The chair yoga exercises in this audiobook can help her move gently and safely daily. She liked that the practice sessions were divided into a warm-up, movements and meditation at the end. It was great that an accompanying pdf included illustrations of the primary poses.

Super Resource

Whilst I am not over 60 ,I have osteoporosis and fibromyalgia so my yoga practice has needed significant modification which this book has provided. So definitely good for over 60s!
The free pdf and the 2week program are great.

I love this audiobook!

I recently listened to this book for seniors, and I was pleasantly surprised by how effective and accessible it was. The audiobook was amazing and knowledgeable, and the author provided modifications for every pose so that everyone could participate, regardless of their fitness level or mobility. I appreciated how the class emphasized the importance of breathing and mindfulness, which helped me to relax and let go of the tension in my body. Overall, I highly recommend this audiobook.

Perfect for physical rehab or ageing yogis

This is a wonderful listen to gift and/or recommend to your ageing loved ones, or anyone with limited physical abilities who is wanting to strengthen muscles or experience yoga. The benefits of yoga are numerous, from breath work to restoring the physical body to connecting mind and body. This is a gentle and safe approach whilst being an interesting listen. Highly recommend!

Amazing

Wonderful guide! Love the simple yet effective exercises provided that are easy for beginners to understand, while also very helpful for building strength. I am integrating this into my routine now. The Union of Mind, Body and Spirit

Chair Yoga for Seniors Over 60 is a powerful program for mobility and strength and should be read by all. It's not to be taken lightly, as it provides a comprehensive look from its ancient roots to relief from anxiety, greater physical strength and mobility, and increased mental acuity. Yet all of this and more can be simply applied and realized at your pace from within the confines of your home. I belief this program would benefit so many younger than 60 years of age. I highly recommend this book.

Get more movement with chair, yoga for seniors

I really enjoyed listening to this book. I started out listening as I was driving and couldn’t wait to get home and try some of the exercises. I’m looking forward to the two week plan and seeing where I’m at two weeks from now on my flexibility. This is a great book and one that is easy to follow. I also appreciate having the downloadable PDF as a reference.

Get this for your parents and grandparents

This is a wonderful audiobook to help seniors stay fit with chair yoga. I am very happy that it comes with a PDF that has photos of all the poses because seeing the pictures really helped my MIL understand what to do.

This book is going to help her stay fit and improve her balance. At 83, she really needs it. So far I have helped her with about half of the poses and she was able to do all except 1.

I also really like the meditation, it really helped her relax while trying out yoga for the first time.

Thorough and helped me!

I did some of the foot exercises after surgery, which I found helpful. I enjoyed listening to the audiobook while going on short walks during recovery. Thought the audiobook was knowledgeable, thorough, and the narrator’s voice was excellent for the material. I recommend this book for anyone who spends a lot of time in a chair.

Loved it!!

Getting older doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice your health especially when there are easy ways that you can improve your physical and mental health by doing a few simple exercises. I think this book is ideal for anybody that is older, that is looking to improve their life by doing these chair yoga exercises. I think the author does a great job at organizing the chapters to provide the best value for the reader, and I love how it comes with an attached PDF with additional resources.

Great Resource!

Whoa! This is such an informative and helpful resource. I enjoyed listening to this and even though I'm not close to 60 yet, I know if I start these yoga exercises NOW, I will never regret it! I have more hope for my senior years now. The author encourages to always remember our bodies and that aging isn't always a bad thing.
