Carb cycling is an effective, newer, and proven “way of eating” that greatly helps in weight and fat loss, without losing muscles, by adding in lots of carbs to your current diet, at a certain time of the day or week (cycle). This way of eating is an integral part of the trainings followed by athletes and professional body builders.

Its effects go beyond getting fit and preparing athletes for their events. It can be done by just about everyone in order to achieve your desired weight goal.

Carb cycling is a system that is very simple to follow and understand, which is why many people like it.

Meals for a week are cycled or rotated through low to no-carb days, medium carb, and high-carb intake. Regardless of the level of carb intake, each day should include high protein intake.

Fat intake is adjusted in relation to carb intake. On high-carb days, fat intake is low. On low-carb days, fat intake is high.

The cycle depends on you. You can choose to have four low-carb days in a week, followed by a high-carb intake then a no-carb intake. Or, have three days of low-carb intake, followed by high-carb and a no-carb then start over! There are many variations to carb cycling that will work depending on you; everyone is different.

For me, the author, I discovered that daily carb cycling works best for me; in late morning/early afternoon I eat low carb meals with fat. In the evening I eat high carb healthy foods, such as: fruit, vegetables, grains, and sometimes...unhealthy carbs like pizza, cookies, chips, etc.

It’s time you change your mind about carbs:

  • Burn fat (carbs are actually needed to burn or metabolize fat quicker)
  • Build muscle (carbs are needed to enhance and balance hormones and metabolism)
  • No gym required!
  • Cheat every other day, with unhealthy carbs!

excellent reading

As I started on my carb cycling program I got confused about the choices and the cycles themselves . This book gave me a better understanding on how to put carb cycling to a more effective and successful use in my life. Thank you for demystifying carb cycling for the layman.

Good information

I got this book off of another site and I absolutely love it! My trainer had talked to me about carb cycling but I honestly didn't understand her explanation of it because it was too scientific. This book totally breaks it down in a way for regular people to understand easily!!! However, if you want more recipes I would advise purchasing a separate carb cycling cookbook.

Simple and easy to understand

Simple and easy to understand, yes, but I never felt like I needed to seek out additional resources or like I had to search elsewhere to explain anything. It may help that I know the basics of nutrition already, but my point still stands. My office is full of people on no carb/no meat/no anything that's not water ans lettuce diets; I am and have already started recommending this book to anyone who A. Wants a real sustainable approach to weight loss and behavior modification and B. Wants to nourish their body and not punish it as they lose weight. Highly recommended.

This book help me cleared up all my confusion on what is Carb cycling. This book is designed to help you to lost a lot of weight by providing a lots of healthy low carb recipes? I have read a lot of good stuff about Carb cycling diet and just love your carefree approach to life and food. I was definitely getting a little overwhelmed from all this recipes. This was perfect. Informative book

This was an easy read, and also very informative, without being too technical. The author gave me a great understanding of the carb cycling process and just made it seem doable. I have read other books and ended up confused or feeling as if I didn't really learn anything. The author explains what to eat on high carb days, low carb days, and no carb days (not recipes), and also touches on the high/low glycemic index/load of foods, and on how certain hormones affect weight loss, again without getting too technical.

Supper item.

This book had a ton of intriguing formula thoughts for lower carb suppers. It gave me some smart thoughts for employments of interchange kinds of flours, for example, utilizing nut flours to make biscuits, or cauliflower and eggs to make tortillas. This is helpful to me since I eat a without gluten diet. There were likewise numerous tasty and filling breakfast formulas, in both the low-carb and high-carb classes.

Low carbs made easy

What a great book. I have been interested in low carbs but just never really knew how to begin. This book will help me to get started and will encourage me on my journey of losing weight and getting healthy. Some great recipes and meal planners to help along the way.

Good book.

Good book. Got a solid understanding of carb cycling. The only con to report is that I needed to page back several times to look at his food charts and to reread some of his explanations. Could have written sample recipes to follow.

Everyone has their own way of comprehending, retaining and retrieving information and I will need to summarize it for myself to be able to follow the eating plan.
