Summary

Hardly have they left the Forest of Ire and its horrors behind them when the Thirteenth Paladin decides to head for the Green Sea with his friends to fulfil his old promise of bringing the necromancer to justice, who has been holding the fertile lands surrounding the horse people and their Paladin, Blazing Eyes, in his bony grip for far too long. But it is not alone the necromancer with his deadly traps who is testing the companions. HE, WHO FORCES has his own plans to bring death and destruction to the Paladins. And then, to top it all off, the gods play a trick that none of them would ever have expected . . .

last one I'll listen to unfortunately

fantastic narrator and story. For some reason the next in the series had a change of narrator which is ridiculous after one gets so into the characters. I bought and returned it and am very upset as if like to hear the conclusion of the story..bring back the old narrator!

Last one I’ll listen to.

I won’t be going any further on this journey as the narrator has changed in the next book. So sad as I feel really invested in the characters and the story, and relearning them again just won’t be the same.

Excellent story and narration up until now.

Superb continuation of the saga.

This is another really powerful story well written and well presented in audio format. I look forward to the continuation.

A good part of the series, though not his best

Well written as ever. But I didn’t enjoy the love triangle which I found tedious. The rest was fine, exciting as usual.

Last I will listen to

A It's a really awesome series, and I was gutted to have to send the next one back!
The new narrator used completely different voices for the characters I'd grown to know and love. What a shame.

Good listen

A great story I am looking forward to the next instalment. The reading was excellent with each main character given a distinct voice.

Unexpected development

Yet another fine book in the series, however I am disappointed that the next book have another narrator then all the previous so I will buy the hard copy and read that one myself which I'm not looking forward to.

Okay but my least favourite so far

The previous books have been much better written, this was an enjoyable story but lacklustre by comparison

== SPOILERS ==

The totally obvious suspect turns out to be the assassin in the most predictable twist ever, while the characters stumble around like naive fools without considering this possibility.

The love arc felt awkward and clumsy to me, the paladins of the gods all just go against the gods will instantly and with no debate.

The ending was rather underwhelming.

Great performance by the narrator and desire to see the series to its conclusion kept the book enjoyable enough to finish, however I won’t be revisiting the Green Sea for a re-read.
