Summary
I’m the right-hand man of the mafia king. She’s a girl with a past she’s desperate to hide.
But I need something from her. And I know she won’t help me. Not willingly. She’ll need some persuading.
Lucky for her, I can do that.
Something about this girl makes me curious, though, and it’s more than the scars that line her back. She’s on the edge of something. Something bad. She’s like a perfect, beautiful doll coming apart at the seams. And the last string is about to snap.
She thinks I’ll hurt her. Break her. But thing is, she’s already broken. And she and I, we’re two peas in a pod. She’s my match, the perfect opponent. She’ll fight me to the finish, but I’ll win. I always do.
Because I’m a man used to getting what I want. And what I want is her.
Author’s note: Giovanni is a stand-alone dark mafia romance set in the Benedetti Brothers Mafia world. It’s an emotionally gripping enemies-to-lovers romance with a hard-earned HEA.

Fab narrators, great story but missing the love
Rating: Narration 5, Story 3.5
I listened to the audio and both narrators were excellent, expressive and perfect for the characters. I loved both their voices.
I did enjoy the story, but unfortunately it's not one of my favourites by Natasha Knight. She's a go to author for me and I love the darkness and suspense of her stories, this one included. However I also adore the battle for love, even when dark and dangerous and not flowers and kittens. The drama of two people who shouldn't be together, finding their place with each other. Here I felt the chemistry was missing between Giovanni and Amelia. For all the horrors she's been through, she's a survivor but very broken. She gave so little resistance to Giovanni when he applied his dominance, until she finally cracked near the end. He's hard, strong, ruthless and dominant, like a good mafia boss should be, but he was quite cold, even to Amelia, especially as she (justifiably) struggled to trust him. That's what was missing, I didnt really feel the love, even when they said it which is a shame because the storyline was well paced and suspenseful.

Dark Dismal Disappointing Diegesis
This is Book 5 in this dark Series and was like a jigsaw with a piece missing: You can see the picture, you got almost all the elements but it's incomplete. Perhaps the author has run out of material to weave another tale?
Amelia one minute smart and brave, the next minute stupid and doing ridiculous things like trusting her demented brother and rushing off willy nilly into yet more danger. Giovanni, cruel, controlling and violent, through nothing logical finds he's caring for this damaged girl. Then bam, they're in love. The sex is violent, and continues violent till the end.
At times you feel the tension and excitement other books in this series generate, only to be floored by another incomprehensible scene which disrupts the flow. At no time do you feel a love connection building, or see how trust can be generated when each MC continually hides important life or death facts from the other and Giovanni keeps taking her gun and phone away. There is no way to contemplate how any HEA can be in their lives in their future, which left me feeling exasperated.
Fabulously narrated nonsense.
I did not enjoy this book.

Addictive Mafia Romance
Taking a chance on a new author AND new narrators at the same time is a big step got me, and it’s a step I’m so glad I took (I’m a wuss when it comes to trying new things), but I’ve got to say, the story and the narrators blew me away. Mafia romance is one of my favourite genres, dark mafia romance, even more so. That said, it wasn’t overly dark. It had the perfect mix of evil, bad, dirty and sexy, maybe not good for the moonlight and roses reader though. I love broken heroines, and I love the good, bad boys that try to fix them. Great writing, great story, great narration. I’ll be looking into more from this author.

Narrators are freaking awesome!
An AudioObsessionReviewer.. I loved the narrators for this book so much! They brought the story to life and made it so exciting. I need to find more from these two. The story was good as well and I liked it. Very good audiobook!

A captivating story
I have read many of Natasha's books and this one does not disappoint. She did a great job with the character development and the storyline. The story grips you write at the beginning and keeps you hooked throughout. In this story we have a little bit of a mafia tie along with the love story and all the struggles that go along with those two being combined. I would say that Giovanni is your typical mafia man total alpha male which I really did like. Amelia our female lead character was such a strong woman I always love to see that in stories a little bit broken but still strong. overall I love the story and thank the narrators did a great job we totally recommend.

Brilliant storyline
Natasha sure knows how to write a hot Aplha. This has everything you will want. Action, adventure, hot steamy scenes, dirty talking, bossy men! I loved it. Aiden is perfect as Giovanni. Both narrators are great in this book.

Great Mafia story!
Thanks to Audible Plus, I was introduced to this new author who I am really enjoying.
Giovanni is a delicious mafioso who is looking for Emilia's brother. She is delightful and not bothered by him breaking into her apartment which intrigues him, so takes more of an interest than he should. Their chemistry is great and I enjoyed their banter.
My only gripe is that the author draws the heroines to be a bit whiny and make really stupid decisions. There are also loose ends, e.g. what happens to his dad? It would be good to have more mafia interaction.
The narration was superb.

Was not able to finish
I love Aiden Snow and will listen to him all day long but really some books need to come with trigger warnings. I don't know who enjoys writing rape scenes but it wasn't for me and so early in the book as well

Good dark romance
This book was much better than the previous one. It’s dark and deals with heavy subjects that can be triggering for some, so check tw. Also, Giovanni is super domineering and obsessed with Emilia….despite the heaviness of it all it was good and spicy.
Great narration too.
