Summary

This set contains Mine and His, the complete Ties That Bind Duet!

Mine

She was never supposed to walk into my club. But she did.

I shouldn’t have looked twice at her. But I did.

The criminal underworld is no place for a girl like her.

One night with Katerina isn’t enough, but men like me can’t afford to be weak. So I tell her to leave me behind.

She does, but not before she sees something she shouldn’t.

When she goes into hiding, it’s my duty to hunt her down. I have a job to do, and she needs to disappear for good.

But four years later, Kat isn’t alone anymore. And the little boy right beside her looks just like me.

His

I’ve been in hiding for four years. On the run from the man in whose bed I once slept.

I saw something I shouldn’t have seen. Took something I shouldn’t have taken.

And he’s just found me.

But it’s not just my safety I have to worry about. I have a little boy. His little boy. The secret baby of a Russian mobster.

He told me in no uncertain terms that I’m his. That we would be a family.

But his uncle still wants me dead, and I know the man who’s been hunting me is the only one who can keep us safe.

Great boxset 🔥❤️🔥

🔥 ❤️🔥 Really enjoyed this boxset. It's quite an in-depth story with some twists I never saw coming. The main characters are likeable and they have a strong bond.

The narrators did a good job of keeping you engaged and bringing the story to life.

Narration

The male narrator made me skip some of the chapters he was reading. I get the intensity he was attempting to portray, but it felt like I put the audio on the fastest reading speed. ☹️

🌻I appreciated no excessive angst!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas 🌻🌻🌻

Although the Heroine and the Anti-Hero have several obstacles to hurdle, before their HEA, it was nice that the author didn’t throw in a bunch of unnecessary angst, for them to overcome. It made the whole experience more enjoyable.

I also appreciated the fact that the Heroine had a backbone, wasn’t a virgin sacrifice and that their marriage wasn’t an arranged. So many mafia romances have the same, overused storyline.

Granted, there were a couple of unrevealed children, in the mix but, without the other overused elements, it wasn’t too trite!

Honestly, this would likely be the most relaxing mafia romance you’ve ever listened to. I’m also glad the complete duet was available together. Too many authors drag out a story just so they can collect multiple credits.

If your in the mood for a relaxing mafia romance, this duet would definitely wet your whistle!

Male Narrator is horrible!

The male narrator is screaming! I can’t get past it to be able to give an opinion on the story or the female narrator. I am disappointed that I used a credit for this book 😞

Loved the story but did not care for the male narrator. Almost stopped listening because of him.

Perfection

Well paced, no dragging or rushing in the storyline. Original elements & plot details to the trope.

Male narrator is unbearable.

I couldn't get past the 3rd chapter. The male narrator's voice sounds like a computer. The story may be great but he ruined it.

Painful Male Narrator

I'm torn. I loved, loved, loved the story! These two really did write something phenomenal. Now with the bad...I had no issues with the female narrator, but the male narrator was absolutely terrible. I've never heard anything like him and I plan to never hear him again. I would have loved to hear this with a male narrator that did Lev's character the justice he deserved. I'm shocked this narrator was even approved, hired, and the final recording approved for audible. Cringey, so over the top he didn't sound like a normal human at all. It's really too bad. I would have devoured anything these two had written, but there's no way I'll go near another audobook with this male narrator. On the flip side...if it's ever re-recorded, I would gladly pay all over again to hear a new version!

Loved this book!!

I loved this book but the male narrator Michael Pierce just didn’t do it for me, I’m not sure if he’s trying too much or what but I struggle so much with that and I feel it took a lot away from the the actual story. McKenzie Cartwright amazing as always, she did better with the male voice I feel like she could have carried the book all in her own and I hate saying that because I love having a male and female narrators.
The story was really good but I guess when I listen to the sample he didn’t sound the way he did in the rest of the book so I guess it’s best to buy the book and read it I would have done that but I couldn’t return the audio so I had to struggle when it was time for Michael’s part.
