Summary

I’m not the same Bebe Grimshaw I was years ago. The woman I was spent years behind the bars of the highest security women’s prison in the nation, my punishment for hacking nuclear codes as part of a crime syndicate I’d gotten in way too deep with. The woman I am today doesn’t regret what I did, or the fact that I got caught, but I am remorseful for the years I lost with my son, Aaron. Released from my sentence early thanks to Kynan McGrath, I joined his team at Jameson Force Security and now put my skills to use helping people.

I’m just trying to get back a piece of what I lost, focusing solely on raising Aaron and my work at Jameson. As long as I have my son and my career, I’m content. But life has a funny way of letting you know exactly what you need, and when a devastatingly handsome stranger named Griffin befriends Aaron at the park, I have to consider I might be missing something. A part of me that was locked away long ago reawakens, and I find myself looking at Griff in a way I’ve not looked at a man in more than a decade.

Just when I think things are starting to look up, my world is turned upside down. Turns out that meeting wasn’t an accident, and things aren’t going my way at all.

Griffin Moore is the man sent here to kill me.

My heart is full!

CODE NAME: HACKER is Bebe Grimshaw and Griffin Moore’s story – and possibly over before it began with Griffin set out to kill Bebe … or is it? His way of executing this mission kinda gets deranged when he actually gets to know Bebe – her and her adorable son Aaron. That little guy for sure steals the show, wise much beyond his years, and especially him and Griffin together had me sobbing and grinning and swooning a time or two.

Assassin meets Hacker. A hacker who served years for a cyber-crime and was released on parole to work for Jameson. Sounds simple, right? But their journey is anything but. It’s suspenseful and twisty and cute and dangerous and exciting and heartwarming and so much more. A story of redemption, full of family and love. Fast-paced, well-written with a set of characters that you cannot help but fall for. My heart is full.

The audio version is narrated by Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood, both two excellent narrators, Mr. Snow’s gruffness plus Ms. Peachwood’s emotional performance make this one a delicious treat on the ears.

Cannot wait for Malik’s story!

I was hooked from the first chapter

I really enjoyed Bebe's Story. Her strong character really drew me into the story. Her loyalty cost her precious time with her son. True to motherhood, she felt so much regret for that. As the story develops, we find out more about her past, and it is a heart gripping tale. Griffin is everything a woman could want. He is great with Bebe's son, he is protective and just as loyal. This story a everything in it, suspense, dedication, romance and family. I loved everything about it.

Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood bring heart to this story. Through their narration, the characters came to life and really became more like friends. Aiden has the perfect voice for Griffin, strong, gruff, and swoon worthy smooth. Savannah really brought out Bebe's inner struggles. It was easy to get lost in the story with Aiden and Savannah's performance.

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧 An Action Packed Thrill!

Sawyer Bennett does it again, she pens another awesome novel in her “Jameson Force Security” series. I am loving this series, it characters and it storylines. Bebe is an IT guru and hacker, probably one of the best in the trade. When in college she got herself caught up in a bad situation working for the bad guys she was forced to make a decision to leave her son with her Mom and sacrifice her freedom. She was serving her sentence behind bars when Kynan recruited her to work for Jameson Force Security, he pulled strings to get her out, strings he has because the firm does jobs for the Gov’t, jobs that require special skills and may or may not require unconventional methods to complete. I really like Bebe, she is honorable and trustworthy and works great with the other members fo the team. She does not have a social life, just her son and her Mom and keeps a distance from all others but in comes Griffin, he shows up one day and he gradually works his way into her life. She is enjoying her life, then finds out her past is coming back with a vengeance. What a mind-blowing turn of events, everything happens quickly and thank goodness the team are quick on their feet. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is greatly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense that brings you to the edge of your seat, some heartfelt moments and hot romance. Sawyer Bennett, thank you for another awesome book.

Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood are terrific narrators and voice artists. They do an amazing job portraying the characters, giving each their own voice and personality, bringing them to life and humanizing them. You could hear how much heart they put into their work, capturing the characters emotions as well as the drama of the story which can be heard in their performance. Both are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

This has to be the best one yet!

I was thrilled to get Bebe's story finally! I knew it was going to be a good one but Sawyer Bennett always ups it!! Bebe is such a strong woman, she's definitely softer than her tough exterior shows but she has to be... it's just her and her boy and she's already missed too much time. She seems to just be getting on with her life when talk, dark and bearded waltzes up and makes her step back and reevaluate her life. But did Griff accidentally waltz into her life or did he come with a purpose?!?!?! EEEK!!!

This is my favorite, FAVORITE, Jameson Force book yet!! Griff is just hard and gruff in ALL the right places and a total alpha jerk in all the hot places! I mean, serious swoon ALERT ladies!! I loved that not only did Bebe and Griff communicate and talk through things but they seem to need each other.

Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow sound so amazing together. Peachwood has this soft sounding voice with just enough strength and grit to really portray a perfect Bebe… I was a bit worried. I mean you didn’t want Bebe to sound like this girly girl but she still needed to be feminine, you know? Savannah Peachwood pulled it off! Aiden Snow is always delightful to listen too. He’s strong and raspy while being gruff. He’s a great compliment to Savannah Peachwood.

We unlocked Bebe!

And finally, we got to see Bebe from her point of view!! She was so fun to explore, both her smarts, her feistiness, but also her vulnerability and softer side.

Griffin was just pure class. Man, I was scared at first, and then so happy to have him on their side.

This really was a rollercoaster ride from discovery to discovery, new twists and turns, and in the middle a sweet recognition of an equal, of finding where to lay one's heart and trust and have faith. And a coming together of family.

Audiobook was fabulous, as well.

Great edition to a great series

This book/audio has been one I was looking forward to, and sawyer Bennett did not disappoint. Hacker was a great fast paced, many twists and turns and it again brings all the other characters from other books from this series. You get to see many people we have become like family. This is a story about moving on after making mistakes and finding your way in all aspects of your life. The relationship between Bebe and Griff is great and the twists of their relationship and the chemistry keeps you wanting more. I love this story and series and can’t wait for the next installment.

Fast-paced and action-packed

What I loved most about this story is Bebe’s character—she’s such a strong woman, great at her job (that happened to be in a male-dominated industry!), and a wonderful mom!

This story is not only fast-paced and action-packed, but it has sexy, steamy scenes too.

Another thing that I love (and I may have already mentioned this in my review of Code Name: Heist) is that we get a glimpse of what happened to the couples who've already gotten their HEA's in the previous books in the series without feeling like we're missing something. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Narrators Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood did an excellent job. I must admit I wasn't a fan of Savannah Peachwood before, but after listening to this audiobook, I now am!

Code Name: Hacker is a contemporary romance written in dual first-person POV and recorded in dual narration. It's a standalone that ends with a HEA and deals with sensitive subjects some may find triggering. No cliffhanger, no cheating.

Enjoyable listen!

THE STORY:
I’ve been waiting for Bebe’s story since her first appearance in Code Name: Genesis. Her backstory intrigued me so much. Genius hacker who intentionally got caught hacking nuclear codes to prevent them from getting into the wrong hands and then taking the fall and in turn having to leave her 3-year-old son behind? Hell yes, sign me up! It sounded like one hell of a woman and I wanted to know more about her!

Bebe did not disappoint. She was an incredibly strong and resilient character. Vulnerable when it counted but also very determined when it came to things she wanted. Griff, well honestly? Besides his morals, there wasn’t much that I knew about him. His character wasn’t as fleshed out as I would have liked, and the same also goes for the relationship development between him and Bebe. It was pretty insta. I just wanted a bit more than what was told but granted this is a romantic suspense novel.

To end this on a more positive note, I absolutely loved that small twist. I never saw it coming and I think, very few readers will expect it. On the one hand, I’m a tiny bit disappointed not to get this other certain angle but on the other hand, I’m extremely satisfied with this small surprise we got here.

Another thing I really liked were the secondary characters. Kynan is getting more and more awesome it seems, and Aaron is simply the best kid a mother like Bebe could wish for (though any mother really).

THE NARRATION
There seemed to be a discrepancy between the two narrating styles. While Savannah Peachwood used a British accent to portray Kynan, Aiden Snow did not. It made me question why because I do think that it should have been uniform. Either both narrators do it or neither one does it.
Other than that both were great though. I really like the color of Savannah Peachwood’s voice. It sounds young and fresh and very pleasing to listen to. Aiden Snow’s voice is sexy as hell. I enjoy his way of narrating, it’s very natural.

I love how fast past this story was. It was really good and had quite a few action moments that I didn't see coming. I also loved all of the hack tech aspect part of it, because it just different to read about something I don't read too much of in the stories I read. I just also feel sorry for Bebe's background of what she went through, but I'm glad she got her HEA. Of course by the end, Sawyer knows how to suck us in on wanting the next book in this series asap! I can't wait.

I loved Aiden and Savannah's narration.
