Summary
Colonel Jake Thomas has a mess on his hands. The losses on Klinan have gutted an already short-staffed defense force, and his people are scrambling to prepare for a possible attack, directly on Earth. Combined with the seemingly erratic behavior of Sara, his number-one go-to girl, he is struggling to keep up.
Now, with unexplained transmissions originating in Europe, and an Alien visitor with questionable motives, he is awash in new challenges on Earth and in space. Can the activity in Europe be a sign of troubles to come, or is it an indication of allies waiting to be discovered?

Not bad
If you like action and space and tech this series isnt bad the guys got a. Good imagination for technology BUT it is a bit like team America. It's kind of like a 17 yr old lad named jake decided to write a book and stuck rigidly to the premise "what if every awesome thing possible happend to me" and I don't know if it's just the narrator or the writing as well but the portrayal of the English, Russian and Chinese is so ridiculously stereotypical that I'm not sure if it's hilarious or racist. To be fair I did laugh quite a lot I'm just not sure it was supposed to be humour.

Improving
This is getting better. It still grates me when I hear the SAS saying they must thank the next yank they see.
The accents aren’t too bad and considering how insular some Americans are you can be forgiven for not understanding their stereotypical view on the rest of the world.
This series has gained a star in my review. Looking forward to the next one

Great series, this one was a bit too stereotypical
I've really enjoyed this series, as a few others have mentioned it does read a bit like the author's idea of the 'best future ever'.
Having said that, the story is good and I've enjoyed the characters (mostly).
My main gripe is with this book in particular, the non-American characters are very stereotypical and the accents my the narrator are frankly awful.
It's still worth a credit in my opinion, just don't expect it to match the other books.
