Summary

The feeling I have in this very moment, after not seeing her for so long, will haunt me forever, reminding me why I left to begin with.

For as long as I can remember, Easton Crews has been off-limits. As much as it kills me, that’s never going to change. After his little disappearing act three years ago, then suddenly showing up out of nowhere, I shouldn't want anything to do with him. It doesn’t matter how beautiful he still is. Or how close we once were. It shouldn’t matter that my entire body lights on fire with need whenever he gets close. He chose the worst possible time to leave without so much as a goodbye.

However, just like the first day he walked into our home, I'm drawn to him, needing him near me just as badly as I need air to breathe, and I can't stand it. I want to hate him. I know I should hate him. But hating him is the last thing he'll let me do.

When I push, he pulls harder...until I'm completely wrapped up in him, my mind lost in the one person who is forbidden - the one person I’ve always loved, even when he belonged to someone else. Easton was never meant to be mine. It took me years to come to terms with that and now that I finally have, he's here, right in front of me, more irresistible than ever.

The part I fear the most about that - he’s the one person capable of completely wrecking my world. “I’m not leaving until you take all of your hate out on me. Let me feel it. All of it. Every dirty look. Every nasty word. I will have it all before I leave. Stop hiding from me.”

Great chemistry

I love it when an author absolutely nails the chemistry between characters. This book is 100% spot on. With the vocal talents of both Kai and Wen it’s pretty much perfect.

Brother’s best friend

Kota has been in love with her brother’s best friend Easton for as long as she can remember. He was also her best friend until he left town after her sister Quinn died. The problem was that Easton was also her sister’s boyfriend. Three years later, Easton is back in town and it brings back the old feelings and also the feelings of guilt for wanting the one person she can’t have. Good story and definitely full of angst. Kota is a strong female character with a sassy attitude. Easton is an alpha who has always tried to do the right thing even if it’s not what’s right for him.
Good narration by both narrators.

Brilliant

I loved this book. It dealt with so many real life issues like loss and friendship. It was nice to see the main characters slowly learning to deal with everything that had occurred

The narrators as always did an amazing job of allowing the characters to speak through them and tell their story.

Loved!

I enjoyed this listen,
A story of a broken friendship,
Misunderstandings that left hearts broken,
Can enemies ever be lovers?
Can Dakota & Easton finally make this time around theirs or has too much time passed for them to find true happiness?????

I’ve not read (listened) a Victoria Ashley book in a while and I can’t wait to get back to reading some more :)

Great audiobook

I really enjoyed the story but I loved how the audiobook was narrated with the women narrator speaking all the woman’s parts and the same of the male narrator.

Fabulous Story & Narration🎧 Heartfelt & Moving!

I loved everything about this book, from Victoria Ashley’s wonderful writing style to the storylines and characters she created to Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott’s fabulous narration. This book grabbed my attention and heart right from the start and held it to the end. This story is Dakota and Easton’s story and it is one heck of a story, a love story that never happened, a love that was meant to be but could never be. Dakota is one bad ass, she works in her fathers garage and loves what she does. Easton is her older brother’s best friend, a nice guy who always did the right thing. A special bond & friendship grew between him and Dakota, but they never got a chance to take the relationship any further. I loved how these two looked out for others and put their own wants and needs on the back burner. It was frustrating that Easton did not step up and admit his true feelings but I get why he did it. I loved Dakota’s tight knit family and her great friends. I liked how well plotted this story was, how we are taken back to the past to give you a glimpse what happened then to lead up to the way thing are in the current, with Easton trying to capture and fix Dakota’s broken heart. This book brings on all the feels, there is plenty of drama, angst, some heartfelt moments, some heart wrenching one. Victoria Ashley, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the talented Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. They bring these characters to life, give each their own voice and personality as well as heart and attitude. They do an awesome job projecting the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Wreck my world

Wen and kai did a great job narrating. Wen has the perfect deep voice that you just get lost in.

I loved the Dakota and Easton’s effortless chemistry. There was so much heartache that I hurt for them while reading their story. I hated how selfish Quinn was and that she caused so much heartache. While I did like that aspect of the story it was completely realistic. I am happy that Quinn and Easton’s relationship was not more physical because that would have been have to get past.

What an amazing story so emotional

I really enjoyed listening to this story. The narrators did an excellent job of performing each character. I could really hear a difference between each characters personality. These two narrators are my all time favorite and this story is also one of my favorites. It was such an emotional story you can’t help but hope only for the best for the couple in this story. So far I have listened to it seven times already. The Author has such a great imagination to think up such a story as this one. This one is a little different than her other stories but you get the same feeling at the end of all her books the satisfaction of knowing that one day another story will be made into an audiobook that these two narrators will get to narrate. Overall everything was great and I really enjoyed this listen. I would recommend this story to fans of the Author and to fans of the narrators. And to those who like strong alpha characters who have some emotional background that works itself out in the end.

Brother's Best Friend Taboo Romance

I really enjoyed the narration on this one and honestly if I hadn't been listening to the audiobook, I might have started skimming. The book felt unnecessarily long and there is so much back and forth between the main characters that it gets old pretty quick. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott's duet narration kept me in the story though and their performances were so emotional and heartfelt. Wen Ross especially was wonderful as broken alpha Easton.

The book was a bit heavier than I thought it was going to be. There are two tragic events (the second one late in the book felt really unnecessary) that will leave readers/listeners emotional. The story flashes back periodically to the past, and slowly fills in the blanks of how Easton and Dakota's friendship began and what caused Easton to leave town. From the synopsis, I thought it was going to go in a certain direction, but it ended up being a bit more taboo than I anticipated. I know Easton and Dakota's tangled past is going to rub some readers/listeners the wrong way and it definitely gave me pause when all was revealed. I just don't understand why it was so hard for them to come clean and admit the truth when they were teenagers. They made it seem like they had no choice/were forced into a situation, but really, they got themselves into it by holding back. I think perhaps I just wasn't in the mood for all the drama.

The epilogue is sweet and it was a nice way to close the story, but I would have loved to find out what happened to the secondary characters, specifically Roman, Hope, and Talon. Wreck My World was still a good brother's best friend/best friend's little sister romance, but sadly I didn't love it.

YES

This was my first book by Victoria Ashley and holy smokes I'm hooked! This book had me laughing crying and just loving the characters. The only thing I wish is that she had another book to tell us if Roman and Hope ended up together or not. I definitely think that would of made an awesome book. Loved this book worth the credit for sure!

This book wreck my emotions.

Love this book. It was not a struggle to finish. My favorite part was when Easton tells Dakota it should be you. The narrators were great love dual audio. Love that male parts were narrated by male. Love female part was narrated by female.

Full of all the feels

This book will wreck you. It will take you on an emotional roller coaster and have you spinning. Easton and Dakota were childhood friends. This story takes us to the past to catch glimpses of them then, this gives such depth to their story. The backstory helped shaped who they are today, and why they are where they are. When they get together, the pages heat up quickly. But do not think this is an easy ride. Be prepared for all the bumps and potholes along the way.

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott narrate the emotions in this story and brought me to tears at times. This narrating team made this book as amazing as it is. Wen and Kai transform the words in the book into real emotions and feelings. They trap you in the story and do not let go until the end. This was a wonderful performance by Wen and Kai.

So many emotions!!!

This story totally wrecked me! I laughed, I cried sad tears and happy ones! Dakota and Easton are doomed from the start but they form a friendship that lasts for all time. What they deny themselves is what can destroy them. Kai and Wen’s performance is top notch and I forgot there was only two of them. I will be looking for more from Victoria Ashley as well as looking forward to listening to Kai and Wen
