What’s not to love.

I absolutely loved this book. It had everything I love

Control v chaos
Grumpy v sunshine
Forced/arranged marriage
Sarcasm and snark!

Dallas, forced into marriage by Romeo who is out for revenge. They hate each other, everything about the other is what they most detest in a person. Dallas is spoilt, lazy, directionless and chaotic. Romeo is controlled, driven, cold and unavailable to her in every regard. She sets out to drive him nuts, and she succeeds. Her antics are hilarious, his reaction to those antics even more hilarious. I actually belly laughed out loud in a few places, which isn’t usual for me. She really is completely chaotic by nature and he can’t deal with her.

Yes of course they come together, yes of course they fall in love, but the getting there is a slow and tortuous process. I loved the Beauty and the Beast references throughout. It reminded me a little bit of The Villian and Vicious, but much funnier. The supporting characters are great I can’t wait to listen to those stories. Although if Teddy Hamilton doesn’t narrate Oliver’s story I might cry!

The narration was outstanding. Jacob Morgan is the best narrator in the business (I will die on that hill) and Stella Hunter is one of the best female narrators in the business. I couldn’t imagine anyone else narrating.

Not one to be missed!

Hot and funny

Loved it and found myself laughing out loud at some of the comments. I loved listening to Some of Some of thoughts about just how crazy his wife was..

Loved this book

I don’t really know why, as the characters are flawed and sometimes annoying, but just like friends I loved them for all of it and just absolutely loved this book ❤️

Hilarious

Loved this book Bellas antics and banter kept Romeo on his toes. laughed so much as both tried to out do the other . Loved ever thing about this book. Jacob and Stella were outstanding as Romeo and Bella. was going to download 2nd book in series but after reading the reviews re: people having issues with the book stopping before the ending decided not to which is a shame 😕

Didn't disappoint!

I really loved this book and it kept me riveted from the beginning to the final half hour.

It then felt as though the writers, after having  thrown everything at the book, with wonderful humor, tension and suspense, then got bored, ran out of energy and decided to end the book.

I loved how they met. It was so original and Shortbread (21) is Dallas' perfect name (or shall we say Detroit) which Oliver VB calls her.  She is sassy, funny and doesn't take any nonsense from anyone! 

Romeo (31) is just gorgeous, rich and "beastly" for very good reasons which you find out through the book and although they hate each other to start, they are in fact so good for each other.
I also loved his friends, Ollie and Zac, and it would be great if Frankie gives Ollie a run for his money.

I loved the reference to the Rose and would have liked to know more on that front. 

Without giving the story away, I would have liked to know more abput 1. how Dallas dealt with his horrid dad 2. how the Morgan debacle was sorted out 3. more information about Madison and 4. if Dallas ever forgave her dad.

As you can see I felt that there was so much more to tell and I was left feeling unsatisfied, hence 4 and not 5 ✨️

The #dualnarration was sublime though and I could have listened to it all over again with that yummy #JacobMorgan and excellent #StellaHunter who brought all the characters to life.

Shortcake (Dallas) & Romeo...what a pair! I enjoyed the journey and the jokes but wasn't sure about making love through a pair of pants! Surely that would have been uncomfortable? What was wrong with using a condom?🤔 Bizarre!
Anyway don't let that put you off 😉

Modern day beauty and the beast 🥰

So, so good!!
The best thing about this storyline is that the hate-to-love doesn't happen within one chapter, like so many other books.
I listened to this audiobook in one day, I was hooked!
I do have one question though; is it actually possible to have full penetrative intercourse through both sets of underwear?!! 🤔🫣🤭

A diamond

Two of the best authors with two of the best narrators, what do you get, an incredible audible book. I listern to audible books all the time and every now and then you find a diamond and this book is it. I laughed so much and also cried. Reminded me of Beauty and the beast and The Villian. Worth 20 credits, will definitely listen again soon
