Story
Sometimes you meet people who are out of this world, so you make them a part of yours. A one-night stand born from vengeance in a foreign land. An explosive chemistry neither of us could deny. We signed a contract on the back of a Boar’s Head Pub napkin that said if we ever met again, we would drop everything and be together. Eight years and thousands of miles later, he’s here. In New York. And he’s America’s music obsession.

Célian Laurent. Manhattan royalty. Notorious playboy. Heir to a media empire...and my new boss. I could have impressed him, if not for last month's unforgettable one-night stand. I left it with more than orgasms and a pleasant memory - namely, his wallet. Now he's staring me down like I'm the dirt under his Italian loafers, and I'm supposed to take it. But the thing about being Judith "Jude" Humphry is I have nothing to lose. Brooklyn girl. Infamously quirky. Heir to a stack of medical bills and a tattered couch.

Meet Blaire. An underachieving college student with zero prospects and a ton of issues (hey, being the less-successful twin of a gorgeous supermodel would totally do that to you). She doesn't do bad boys. Actually, she doesn't do boys, like, at all. Not that she's a lesbian. And not that there's anything wrong with being one. They call him The Mute for a reason. Hard, cold, and calculated, he rarely speaks. When he does, it's with disdain. When he does, his words aren't meant for me. When he does, my stomach flips and my world tilts on its axis. He is 33. I am 18. He's a single dad and my father's business partner. I'm just a kid to him and his enemy's daughter. He's emotionally unavailable. And I am...feeling. Feeling things I shouldn't feel for him. Trent Rexroth is going to break my heart. The writing isn't just on the wall, it's inked on my soul.

The beloved quarterback-turned-physician. I’m the girl who got knocked up at 16 and now works at a diner. He is Fairhope royalty. I get my monarch dose from tabloid gossip. He’s well-off. It should have been easy. I needed the money. He needed a babysitter to keep him from snorting himself to death. I was cherry-picked especially for him. Responsible. Optimistic. Warm. Innocent. The worst part is that I should have known better. Alex Winslow. British rock star. Serial heartbreaker. Casanova with whiskey eyes. “Don’t get near the devil in a leather jacket. Nate Monson was gorgeous, obnoxiously wealthy, and a player. He was also the person who could destroy my world with a single decision. I walked into that bar looking for him. He saw me. I saw him. The chemistry sizzled between us, but no. I hated Nate Monson. I hated him with everything in me, even though my body did not. It didn't matter. Nothing I wanted mattered. He thought I wanted to get laid. What I wanted was for him to disappear. But first, I had to tell him that he had a daughter.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old". Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true.

Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother. And that his best friend has a crush on me. And that I just moved in with them. Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?

Summary
They say your first kiss should be earned.
Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky.
They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred.
Mine were broken before we left church.
They say your heart only beats for one man.
Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end.
I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit.
Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father’s sins over his head to force me into marriage.
They say that all great love stories have a happy ending.
I, Francesca Rossi, found myself erasing and rewriting mine until the very last chapter.
One kiss.
Two men.
Three lives.
Entwined together.
And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.

God-awful pathetic woman
I have real issues with the ‘heroine’. She really was TSTL, emotionally dependent and with no life or interests of her own. I could not abide her childishness, too ‘embarrassed’ to get contraception and too fluffy headed to consider what might result. We are taking about an adult woman! Why women writers create such pathetic female characters is beyond me. It’s insulting.

Juvenile drivel
One to rival 50 Shades of Grey! Not sure that I was quite expecting that from this author, it being the first one I’ve listened to or read. The reviews and synopsis didn’t give that much away! I’m guessing the target audience is probably younger than me. It was quite immature, superficial and also irresponsible in parts such as having unprotected sex and thinking that’s ok! The narration was good and believable for the characters so gave that a higher score but overall, quite ridiculous so only a 2 ⭐️ from me! Sorry!

Too much for me
This book is brilliant if you don't want to be challenged in any way with regard to the storyline. The narrators did a fair job with what they were given. It was so contrived and the epilogue made me want to be sick in my mouth! But people do love this stuff even if it is run of the mill.

This story was brilliant and you could feel the sparks flying of them but Francesca was a bit to Young as I would of stood up to a Father more especially at the end of the book when he made my husband kneel I would of barged into the room after he said I was the only good thing in his life

Villian & Nemesis
First of all, the narrattion. WOW Savannah Peachwood and Stephen Dexter were beyond amazing, their performances truly magnificent. The way they express all the characters emotions, the tone and paced of their voices was simply great throughout the entire Audiobook.
I cannot express how much I loved this book, it was perfect from beginning to end, it's raw, emotional, with so much angst that will draw you nuts and won't be able to think of anything else but this story.
It is so amazingly well written, it's the right mix of a perfect historical book, but set into the modern world, that only L.J Shen knows how to deliver it with so much perfection.
Wolfe Keaton and Francesca Rossi were amazing characters, with their complete different personalities, but they complemented each other so well. Their story wasn't easy, the pad to achieve their HEA full of many connflicts that teared them apart and many knots that tied them together. And you are left with no other choice but to suffer along the way with them, and be drowned in a pool of many emotions while trying to figure everything out.
*Wolfe Keaton was a kiss thief, but it wasn’t only a kiss that he stole. He stole my heart, too.*

A refreshing take this kind of genre. Thoroughly enjoyed it!!
This was a different flavour on a well known genre and I found it refreshing. Senator Wolfe Keaton confident arrogant handsome alpha, Francesca Rossi beautiful sheltered virgin. Both have their plans mapped out for their lives, one seeks revenge and the other seeks love and happiness with another. Unfortunately just like reality life happens and craps all over their plans.
The two constantly bicker and argue, distrust each other and that usual elephant in the room called miscommunication frequently stomps amongst them. However what neither can ignore is the passion and lust that ignites between them when in close proximity and especially when they touch.
I haven't read this author before, I will seek other book because this was well written.

A 5* story and a 5* listen!!
I have read this story in book form and really, really enjoyed it, so I thought I would add the audio and have a listen.
I thought this story was fantastic. Right from the start I was drawn into the world of Wolfe and Francesca, and what a nasty world that is. This is an enemies to lovers story, and boy was Wolfe a difficult man from the outset. Francesca, I'm happy to say, could stand up for herself. Sparks flew - good and bad. It is simply a delightfully written enjoyable listen.
The narrators were fantastic. They really did capture the characters perfectly. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who enjoys contemporary romantic fiction.

Why Are Women Written So Stupid?
I hate these types of books. The overall idea, I love but some of these authors are terrible at this. Evil guy manipulates stupid, ignorant, irrational, dumb female. Dumb female gets treated like crap but falls for him for no apparent reason. I have read/listened to other books with this theme but the females are more intelligent. The writing is better and the story flows much better. This book frustrated me. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

Worst LJ Shen book
I LOVE LJ Shen. I was so excited to see a new book from her. However, I was soon disappointed. First, I've never liked the female narrator she uses, Savannah Peachwood. It's usually worth it, but not this time. The male narrator was good. The big problem is that there is no story. Nothing happens, except droning on, with many things being repeated over and over and over. One of these things is the heroine mentioning that she misled her fiance about the fact that she's a virgin. She led him to believe she's not, and this is mentioned over and over and over, for no effect.
I have about an hour left in this, and I'm finally giving up. The sex has no chemistry, there isn't much of it, and the rest is hatred between the two main characters, which keeps coming back. They like each other for a few days, then have another misunderstanding and hate each other again. If someone really wanted to tell this story, it could be done in two hours instead of 12.

A refreshing “romance”
If you enjoy romance novels...you should definitely read/listen to this book. To be honest I’ve gotten tired of the monotony of romance novels, maybe I listened to my fair share. I began fast forwarding through most of them, listening to only some of it. This book is what and how they should be written, with a true love story and not so much about every sexual encounter and it drag on and on. I loved this book and it’s love story and I hope that if u read this comment, you trust that it will be what I say and take that chance and read/listen to it! I don’t think you will regret it!

Ok...but
The Kiss Thief wasn't terrible. It was predictable. What you think is going to happen, happens. It's your run of the mill romance story. Of you like the genre this won't really disappoint. My biggest issue was the age of the protagonist. She's 19. Her love interest is 30. As a grown up, sex scenes involving teenagers are not my thing. The author makes frequent use of the word teenager, making sure you don't forget it. I wish the description would have mentioned her age I never would have bothered. A teenager getting married and pregnant to/with a 30 year old Senator just didn't work for me. Grown men who are attracted to girls fresh out of high school are a red flag not someone I swoon over.

Fabulous story
This is a new to me author and I have no regrets so ever picking up this one🤓
It’s a sweet, little dark, steamy and heartbreaking story that holds my attention from the first chapter.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and good dialogues
It’s a good storyline with some suspense and things will be revealed slowly
I love the writing style, it’s poetic and the characters chemistry is coming through from first meeting.
Narrators:
They read with feelings and makes the story coming alive in my head.
Clear pronunciation is a must and they deliver
I recommend this if you want a standalone, HEA and alpha male but a women that also stands up for herself.
This author is now on my list of authors I want to read more from.

I want my two hours back
I kept reading this book only because I was hopeful that it would improve. It just continues to get worse. I finally threw in the towel. I am absolutely floored that there are "good" reviews for The Kiss Thief. In this day and age when women are empowered and celebrated for seeking knowledge and individualism, why is ANYONE reading misogynistic porn in a poorly written book with an unrealistic plot? This trashy book is ridiculous and degrading. I want my money back!! 😡😡
