It’s over

I was so looking forward to this after reading reviews. If you are over 30 you are constantly told how decrepit you are, quite depressing. Plus, if you know a little about fitness there is nothing in this book that will make you do much different.

This has been such a help!

Im now in my mid 50’s and after having had some health issues, I was so glad to have listened to this audiobook. I’ve always struggled to enjoy exercise but funnily enough, knowing that I need to do more has actually motivated me more. I can mix in the 6 physical foundations into my daily workouts and the nutrition chapter has reminded me of how important having a variety of foods are. The narrator has a lovely voice and I now feel I have a more more rounded view on exercise.

A must read for fitness motivation.

I'm approaching my mid forties and unhappy about my physique. I go running but my strength and flexibility is poor. The title of this book gained my interest and i'm glad it did.
Easily digestible, this book has helped me focus on my weaker areas of my fitness and now i'm strength twice a week as well as eating better and doing stretching.
This is a great book for beginners or people who are already fit but have maybe become stale in their habits and workout routes.
Don't let the beginning depress you too much as it talks about how the body ages. I found it motivating to get out there and grab the bull by the horns.
Give this informative book a try. You wont be disappointed.

Suitable for over 60s too

I wasn't sure about this book as I am now over 60 and struggling to keep my body like it was in my 40s. I was surprised as it gave me a few pointers on what a 40-year-old should do, and I found I was able to follow along just the same. I may have taken it a little easier than a 40 -year-old would have, but it was still a positive experience for me.

Fantastic

I liked how this book helped me see fitness in a whole way, not just workouts. It taught me how to make a fitness plan that works for me. This book was easy to understand and follow. I even got a free pdf with the full book and pictures of all the workouts. I used what I learned from the book to make a workout plan just for me, and I know I can change it as I get stronger. The parts about food taught me how to eat for my workouts and rest days and how to make sure I'm eating enough, which was a surprise. Overall, it has full of great information. Great listen.

Unremarkable

80% of this book is common sense. Having a positive attitude, eating the correct diet and mixing cardio, strength training, flexibility and agility aren't a surprise.

Everything You Need To Know

I have always shied away from exercise but the older I get the more I realize that I can’t avoid it forever. I always felt like I never really knew what I was supposed to be doing. This book has inspired me to start moving, I enjoyed the scientific approach and feel like I am more aware of what I should be doing, when and for how long. I have set my goals, and started creating new habits, no more excuses!

Good timing! I just turned 42!

So much helpful advice in this book especially with the mindset and flexibility. As I've gotten older I've definitely had to stretch more to keep myself flexible. I want to increase my strength as I get older not lose it, so this audio book came at such a good time. So many gold nuggets and very well narrated.
