The end is almost here, are you ready? A high-tech nightmare. A crippling attack on America and her infrastructure. Are humans in their final days? When a sudden, unexplained spasm of violence rocks the country from coast to coast, when our military is hijacked and the president can’t be found, the survivors will be left to wonder if this is the start of a new world war, or if this is the last chapter of humanity itself. In the near future, the constitution is outlawed, the government is ceremonial at best, and the country is about to lose her name. No one knows how this happened or why America prostrated herself to the kind of foreign forces who would impose obedience through compliance. Resistors call the occupation “creeping death”. Those countries grabbing at the reins of power see it for what it is - a full-scale invasion.

Goes from barely believable to complete farce

Summary
The hardships of the EMP...threaten the whole of Burning Hollow.
Can the town safeguard its resources from the bold new threats?
With a blistering wave of ground assaults now crushing Knoxville, foreign troops engage in wholesale slaughter, forcing small pockets of survivors to flee in a mass exodus. Wyatt Rutledge has led an assemblage of refugees to the safety of Burning Hollow, but their salvation presents the gravest of threats to the Banks family farm and everyone else in the holler.
Compelled to choose between self-preservation and compassion, the unofficial town council must make a host of tough decisions, one of which is how to defend Burning Hollow. The outcome of their decisions will not only tear at the very fabric of the town, it will force the new militia to hold the line against a nasty war that few are equipped to fight.
Starvation is the consequence of poor preparation, but death will come to those unwilling or unable to defend their homesteads, which is the predicament the Banks family now faces. With winter coming, national conflicts unfolding, and the question of how to handle a pack of unruly refugees unanswered, the effects of a fallen civilization are both startling and real.
Unfortunately, this war is about to level up, all but guaranteeing the fall of Burning Hollow in the days and weeks to come. Who will survive and who will perish? And who will rise to the call of the town to do what so many others cannot or will not do?
Experience USA Today best-selling author and number one post-apocalyptic fiction author Ryan Schow at his very best in this tour de force survival series.
Note: The Resurgence of Patriots is the fourth novel in the Sunset on America post-apocalyptic survival series showcasing the highs and lows of America as she fights for her life against enemies foreign and domestic. While there is hope to be found in friends, family, and loved ones, this epic tale follows a ragtag group of survivors as they fight to hold the line against waves of fierce and unexpected assaults.
This series has no coarse language, explicit sex scenes, plagues, or zombies but does contain some mild violence similar to that of a PG-13 action and adventure film. Perfect for fans of A.G. Riddle, Kyla Stone, Franklin Horton, Jack Hunt, Boyd Craven, and Bobby Akart. Suitable for ages 13 and up.

More To Follow?????
The wild roller coaster ride continues in this 4th installment about the people of Burning Hollow and the warriors that run the town. Loved every minute of the continuing saga but dismayed to find that book 5 and 6 are not yet on audible. I wait breathlessly for more and, in the meantime, I will ponder on what Schow's darkly inventive brain could possibly conjure up that had not already been written. Please hurry!!!!!

Great addition to the series
Nothing needs to be said about the narration. Kevin does an amazing job as always. It feels weird writing a review of a book this far in the series but if you liked the earlier books you will like this one. It goes deeper into the choices of helping others or securing the future of the town. As always there is a gratuitous amount of violence and gore which holds true to the series but isn't over done. Great book. Great narration.
