Summary

Well-bred women should not be seen kissing their butlers. Even when the butler in question is secretly a fae prince.

Wyn knows falling for Hetta Valstar is a bad idea. She's not only human but the new magically bonded ruler of Stariel Estate. If their relationship gets out, it'll cause a scandal that could ruin their attempts to sort out the estate's crumbling finances. Of course, it doesn't help that Stariel has decided it doesn't like him.

But much more than just jealous, sentient estates and Hetta's good name are at stake. Wyn’s past is coming back to bite him. Ten years ago, he broke an oath and shattered the power of his home court, and the fae have been hunting him ever since. Now they’ve found his hiding place, and they won’t rest until he’s dead or the debt is repaid - and they don’t play nicely.

almost as good as the first

I love the narration, the imagination, and the story. I got hooked immediately on the first in the series which was blindingly good for a free included audiobook. This one was so nearly as good and I would highly recommend as worth a listen

Couldn't finish it.

I absolutely loved the first book and was excited to hear the second installment. Unfortunately, although the narrator was still excellent, the writing of the second book I found incredibly irritating. I'll be sending it back for a credit refund.

The Tension Mounts

The story continues to surprise with twists and turns. Finty Williams narration enlivens every moment with ease and grace. Can't wait for Book 3.

Stariel might be my favourite character

Loved this romp through two fascinating and enthralling lands. An exciting story, with charismatic characters, both living and geographical. Can't wait to read the next in the series.

An easy, enjoyable fantasy listen!

While I never fell head over heels for the first book, I liked it enough to continue. To my delight, this book was better. I found it incredibly entertaining and the build-up for book three is intriguing. It is worth the listen!

Even Better than Book 1

The first book peaks your interest in this world and the second continues to build your anticipation! What will happen next? I am looking forward to listening to Book 3. The narration is excellent. Just the sitter changes in her voice make it easy to identify which character is speaking.

Fairytale with a sexy fae

Well written and well plotted story, with a vivid background and distinct characters. I appreciated the intelligent choices of characters and the lack of manufactured plot cliffhangers.

Great budding relationship between the leads.

Excellent Narration

Loves the narration again! I liked the storyline in this book, but it’s not as good as the first. I felt the plot was built up to a huge conflict that only fizzled out mildly. Not as climatic as I hoped for. There is also not any specific storyline development that makes me want to start the next book in the series. Don’t get me wrong I’m interested to see what else develops, but there was no cliff hanger. I like a cliff hanger.

Love this series and the narrator!

I adore the narrator’s voice. It’s beautiful and soothing and her inflection and tone is perfect. The stories are so entertaining. There’s some fun humor but the storyline itself keeps you interested. Cannot wait to get into the next one!

Good Sequel

TPOS is a good follow-up in this series. It started slow but picked up speed and ended strong. Definitely left me wanting to read the next book in the series.

What a lovely series

I loved the series and the plot and characters , amazing job done by the narrator!
It was refreshing and had right amount of character build with twist and turns . The last book in the series could have used the same narrator it becomes difficult to follow the voices.
