About this listen
When British geologists discover the world's largest oil reserves under the desolate, icy tundra of Antarctica, Britain, and Chile form a top-secret alliance for control of petroleum resources that will rival the economic power of OPEC. But when their discovery is uncovered by an Argentinean intelligence officer, a surprise-attack against a secret British outpost in Antarctica triggers a war. Britain and Chile are in a military standoff against Venezuela and Argentina, and when the war escalates, Britain asks America for help. For two couples separated by the battle, the outcome will be either love reunited or devastating heartbreak. For a young British boy living with his mother in London, his father's life is on the line. And for Pete Miranda, an American sub commander detailed on a special military assignment to his father's homeland of Chile, will his fate be a crushing death under the icy-cold waters of the Antarctic Ocean, or a future of life, light, and a second chance for love?

A good story shame about the research.
Still listening but felt I had to comment.
A good story and plotline however it is a shame Mr Brown didn't carry out much research on the British end of things.
1. The law enforcement organisation is 'The Police' not 'The Constables'
2. The Chief of the Defence Staff is a Military officer not a civilian.
3. The SBS are a unit within the Royal Marines and is not populated with Naval Ranks (yes the Royal Marines are part of the Royal Navy but ....)
4. The Downing Street briefing, a naval Captain would never be used as a yes man to a politician. ( RN Captain = Army Colonel)
5. There is no such thing as 'The Royal Army' Its Royal Navy, Army and Royal Airforce.
Notwithstanding the above it's moving along at a good pace and the plot is enjoyable

Could have been soo good
Enjoyed a few of Don Browns books but lack of research on this one meant that little details start getting on your nervous. Shame really.
Suggest Don actually take a trip to The UK one day!

a good listen
This is good book too get into but I feel Don Brown should do more home work on British Naval term and how RN ships operate as at no time would they put a carrier at risk out front they operate screening better than the USA who leant it off the British
