Summary
Barely recovered from her brush with necromancy, Ivy is flung once more into a world of intrigue, adventure, and potential death and disaster. It's not her fault - it just so turns out that she's now the only person in the entire world who can communicate with the dead. And they're a chatty bunch with a list of demands.
When the ghosts offer information about a witch-hating mass murderer in return for Ivy's help, she has no choice but to get involved. She might be getting herself into more trouble than she realizes, though - and that's even before she's dragged to Sunday dinner so she can meet Winter's family....

US English
Ghosts circa 18th century use very modern US English slang and the English is generally hip American, plus the narrator is American. If that does not bother you when the tale is set in the British landscape then it’s an entertaining series.
The heroine’s laziness is rather extreme and irritating as a repetitive theme, but her courage is pleasing.

Did not like this as much as the others
I fell asleep listening to this. Tanya Ebys preformance was the same (very good), but I thought the story was not very interesting. A bit to grim and not very funny. Do not even remember if the cat did anything funny. I still sort of liked it since Tanya Eby is a joy to listen to.

The narration really brought the book alive, the dialogue was clever and witty, and the characterisation and storyline was excellent

One to keep!
This is definitely a book I could read and listen to over again. The narrator is excellent, suits the character perfectly and manages the different voices well. Helen Harper balances the humour and the serious aspects successfully which is a difficult job in a book like this.

Disappointing.
Sadly his series hasn't improved in this book. The main characters continue to allow themselves to be manipulated by the head of a corrupt organisation who has already proved himself capable of blackmailing Ivy into cooperation and more than willing to sacrifice her if that's what it takes to get his way.
Presented with the perfect opportunity to bring down the organization he so wants to preserve, they throw away the chance by acceding to his manipulative demands.
The Audiobook also suffers the choice of an American narrator to voice an obviously English character who mangles the pronunciation and has a limited grasp of English accents.

I really enjoyed this ridiculous trilogy.
I enjoyed this book and the two preceding it. Some of it was so ridiculous I found myself laughing helplessly. It has certainly been entertaining listening and has put me in a good mood. I would occasionally snort and giggle as I thought about some of the dialogue in these books. They are a real fun read.

Fun and entertaining
Great series, witty, fun and creative. My only complaint about this series is the lack of romantic scenes between Ivy and Winter. Their supposed to be passionately in love. However, it's a pure PG rating for their inmate situations... Kinda lackluster. Now don't get me wrong I'm not looking for fifty shades of Grey but a little more in the romantics department would have been appreciated to give the relationship authenticity. Lastly, while Ivy had her endearing qualities. Harper, pushed the Lazy angle a little too much. Despite those few drawbacks, the book was still a great read!

Nothing short of fantastic
Helen Harper and Tanya Eby did it again! I'm sad to see the series end but think it closes well and I know I can always re-read/listen. I look forward to more adventures from Helen Harper and Tanya Eby.

so fun and exciting
I have been glistening to Helen Harper's 📚 and they are just as good the second time round. Since I "know" what happens I can concentrate on details I missed before. There are so many little details that this is fun! The book is better than I thought and I liked it then! The narrator is great, she does Ivys snarkiness so well yet also does Winter with ease. A Must listen!

Could Not Finish It
The story concept is great but it became predictable and simply left me underwhelmed to the point I could not continue.
