Since the moment I was ripped from my mother's womb, I've been an outcast among my own kind. I couldn't stop listening to this , it had me laughing out loud with it's humour, and each character pulls you in to the brilliant story.
Can't wait to see what is going to happen in the rest of the series.
Again Saskia is fantastic with the accents. love all of Helen Harper books , they are like listening to a film ( just wish they were) 🩷🧞‍♂️🧝‍♀️

This book takes a bit of getting your head round, as it is set in today's Scotland. Once you accept this reality it is easy to follow with lovely rounded characters. read with great feeling by Saskia Maarleveld.

Downloaded this on the off chance while looking for a new author. Great story, well written, well dictated

I did love this book. it took a little while to get into as I was getting to know the characters but once I did, it moved fast and was quite an adrenaline rush! all I would say is the reading was a little bland. I found that sentences which should have been accentuated by the narrator were at times falling a little flat. That said, it was an original storyline and I'm definitely intrigued enough to purchase the sequel!
