Summary

“We’re here to assist with your transition to Featherstone Academy.”

Suddenly thrown into a world representing bloodlines I know nothing about, forcing a past I refuse to remember into the present, my world is turned upside down. It doesn’t matter that I didn’t want to go to college; it doesn’t matter that I don’t want to be here. I’ll follow the rules or risk my life. The organization that runs the criminal underworld is no joke.

Apparently, I’m an Ace now, but few are happy about my arrival. Secrets have me wanting to run for the hills. Boys have curly hair, skull tattoos, big mouths, and gentle caresses. A diamond has me wanting to make the world a better place. For a lone ranger, my small world just got bigger. What am I willing to do to survive?

This is a reverse harem romance that includes foul language, sexual scenes, and some M/M. Recommended for mature listeners.

Lesson: don't judge a book by its cover🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

i was pleasantly surprised by this one, its been in my wishlist for months and I wish I had given it a chance sooner.. because of the title I thought it was going to be more of young adult read but it wasn't, there is steam but it doesn't take away from the storyline, I love luna as our Resilant badass Female Lead and the guys Oscar, kai, Parker and Roman can knock on my door anytime🥵 and Red the bestie brings that extra caring cuteness, there was lots of detail and world building in this and it doesn't end in a Dun Dun Dunnn moment and we've only scratched the surface in book 1, I'm still thirsty for more so I'm away to buy the next in the series 🙌

so much potential

I loved the world the author created but I found it frustrating how all of a sudden a some of the male characters fell in love with the main character instantaneously.. It felt like the whole lead up chapter to the 'falling in love part' was missing. It's too bad as the book had a lot of potential.

Was a great book to listen to

I read many of the reviews, and though I usually listen to paranormal romance, I have been venturing out to listen to other types of books. I havent listened to many reverse harem books, I think this one was very well written. Many of the reviews I read written about this series gave negative feedback in regards to the sex in this book, many books that have extreme sexual content such as in this books have warning, and this book does, I believe if you understand the content in the book, how can you write a negative review, that in my opinion is wrong. These authors need good reviews to give them the incentive to keep releasing these books.

I like the story line, it kept my interest, the narrators did a superb job, both of which did multiple characters, which is essential in any book. I really enjoyed the first book, just starting the second one, and have the 3 book on pre order.

Great job everyone involved in this series you have done a great job.

An Unexpected Surprise & Phenomenal Narrators!

I was honestly tempted to quit this early on. See, I rarely ever enjoy a PNR that has no real supernatural powers. Of course, "underworld" breeds are Supes in their own right; however, it always feels too "human" when the only difference is lineage & no fantasy-esque power. When I read a PNR, I don't want to feel like it's too real; but characters should definitely have behaviors & reactions that are actually real & relatable.

Anyways, the explanation is because this book falls in that grouping of PNR books I don't read. I was getting bored & the premise of Underworld lineage equating to a "criminal enterprise" is cliché to me.

BUT.....something kept me pushing forward to see if anything could grab my fading attention. It only took a couple more chapters to pull me under! I've already bought & downloaded the 2nd book!

Without spoiling anything.....
There are VERY inappropriate & awesome adult encounters!
There is a RH!
There are some well authored twists!
Of course there's a CH.....it IS a series after all lol
The author gives us enough to form ACTUAL bonds with MANY characters!

I am just overall surprised that this held my attention & made me buy the next book, considering there have been no actual supernatural powers displayed!

Lastly, the narrators are PHENOMENAL!!!
I highly recommend this series to be listened to just to hear how well the male narrator brings each guy to life, through his vocal talents! The female narrator was just as amazing bringing the FMC's emotions into her performance! Both created a fantastic combination that I greatly appreciated & enjoyed experiencing!

3.5 Stars

This book is a slight enigma for me.

The best part? The narrators. Holy hell they did FANTASTIC!! I already love Hollie Jackson but HELLO Aaron Shedlock where have you been all my life? And thank goodness you started doing RH - you will find a very lively fan base in this genre. They were both sexy and just rocked the entire story - in fact ... without them... I’m unsure if this would story would have even been 3 stars for me.

The other amazing part? M/M. And the M/M relationship is soooooooooo cute I can’t even handle it. It was written really sweetly.

The not so good -

I have one of the worst potty mouths in the world - and my favorite word is the f-bomb. But wooooooooooooooo - this author dropped that word in almost every other sentence. I loved it the first 60%... after that I realized if I started noticing it was too much than it is probably way too much for other folks.

The whole premise of the story - the academy. This was the part that knocked down the stars - truly. An academy for criminals? For a story that is written as contemporary... it’s just not realistic AT ALL. It came across as very childish. NOW - Just MAYBE in later books - the history of how it came to be will be explained more and could possibly make it all okay - but as I haven’t finished the series I don’t know if that
will happen yet.

Mary Sue. Ever heard of this term? That’s pretty much what Luna is and I don’t usually see that in stories that are not FanFiction. And it’s not even Luna who makes herself Mary Sue - it’s the way the author writes the guys perspective of her. Don’t get me wrong... the young girl in me is eating it up of course. But they definitely make Luna over the top special.

The sex scenes are good but are a tad short... they could be a little more fleshed out - but maybe I will see that in the next books.

All in all - I felt like this book was a guilty pleasure. The amazing narrators made it that much more enjoyable. I will definitely finish the series and it might even be worth a re-listen someday just so I can hear the sexy narrators and revisit the most adorable M/M relationship ever.

Distasteful.

I have nothing against sex in a book as long as it advances the storyline and gives us more insight into the characters and their relationships. In this book, it's just sex for the sake of it, Very little story. Didn't even finish too pornographic.

British vs. American English

I loved this story, characters, tension, sexcapades, it was all good, EXCEPT...

I understand that the author is British, but if the story takes place in America, please use American words. We call them "gear heads" not "Petrol heads". A Lift is an Elevator, a Minge is a Pussy, Joggers are sweat pants, the First floor is the actual first floor, NOT the second floor, and our measurement of distance is in miles, not kilometers.

The narrators did a wonderful job, but the "Britishisms" kept catching at my ear in an irritating way. I would suggest either going British all the way, with British narrators, or researching the American words for authenticity. Wikipedia makes it easy!
Overall, I will recommend this book to RH and ACADEMY fans, and I will definitely continue the series, because it's GREAT! (My grammatical peeves are probably not an issue for most readers,)

sexy teen drama

like the slutty kind. she basically hits on or is turned on by all the hot boys. and then it flips to the boys and it's the same words but damn she's sexy. Edit: My point of this was that there is no story being moved forward we get it the guys are hot move the story forward, And in 200 words u see it again..

Edit: I notice a Lot of reviews comment about how "Cute" some of the scenes are and its like were you ever in high school?? Sure there were people in my school that were cute together, but some of the scenes in this book were they are cute is super faked..

better narration needed

Great story but narration could have been better. Loved the voices but they should have been used throughout instead of just during the points of view. the female should not have tried to do the male portion and same for the male

Wow! A must listen!

My Bloodline by KC Kean is book one in The Featherstone Academy series. This book comes with triggers so make sure you check yours.
I read this whole series through and then decided to try it through audio. I really enjoyed this book when I just read it. Now I'm fully in love with it. The two people who narrated it were perfect. They really brought the story and it's characters alive.

Holy hotness!

This was full of action and steamy scenes. I am not usually a fan of reverse harem but the author did so well developing each character that you couldn't help but love each guy. Definitely recommend if your looking for a good romance with an intriguing story line.
