Summary

I rejected my fated mate and didn’t regret it for a second. Until now.

Shipped off to Ravenscroft University, a graduate school for the supernatural elite, I have a lot to live up to. As the heir to America’s most powerful pack, my life, up to now, has been spent in a gilded cage. But not for the reason you might think.

I was locked away, not to be protected, but because I was born broken. A disappointment to them all. A wolf who couldn’t shift.

This is supposed to be my fresh start, but my past won’t leave me alone. Not when he’s here. The arrogant wolf shifter who ruined my life after I turned him down seven years ago. Now, I’m a pariah, followed by the rumors my rejected mate has spread, hated by my classmates, isolated again.

From everyone but them.

A vampire prince.

A forbidden priest.

A powerful demigod.

A bully wolf.

I’m playing a dangerous game, and the rules say I can’t be with them. Then again, rules are made to be broken.

And when every moment spent with them brings me closer to finding my wolf, how can I stay away?

Warning: This book is not for the faint of heart. It contains an obsessive stalker; a foulmouthed, inked, and pierced werewolf; a naughty professor with a fondness for watching; a god of mischief; and plenty of heat. If you don’t like your books spicy, your men broody, built, and more bad than good, then this is not the series for you. But if you do...press play, and welcome to the Mate Games.

This needs to be a movie/series 🔥❤️

I’m enjoying this book so far, it’s kept me wanting more. The four male characters are all likeable. Sunday is cruel to Kingston, she goes on like she’s in the right and treats him with a lack of respect. It’s no wonder he behaves the way he does. Looking forward to reading book 2

The narrators are all fabulous

Not for me unfortunately :(

The narrators did such an amazing job.
Unfortunately, the writing of this book made my eyes roll so many times. At one point I was sighing so loud in annoyance that even my partner asked why I was upset.
The story needed more developing and the main character sometimes acted like she was 15.
I will give the second book a chance in hopes it will get better.

Really great full cast audiobook

For the first time I dived into an Audible series before reading it first, mainly due to the full cast aspect. I’m so glad I did! It was a bit slow going with the story to start with and a couple of things happened a bit out of the blue, but the world building in preparation for the next instalment was excellent. Stick with it, book two gets so much better! Amazing narration by all involved.

Immature and eye-roll inducing.

Narration was perfect!

The positives:
1. good at building sexual tension
2. well written kinks.

that's it really. Men are cardboard cut-outs. Friend is just a yes-man.

The negatives:
The writing was weak/lazy and the characters childish and underdeveloped.
The setting is supernatural, meaning gender issues should either be different kinds entirely or not there, but we still see the typical sexist tropes (POTENTIAL SPOILER) :
1. all men are built like MGS characters even though it's a supernatural uni. Powers should compensate for the ridiculous amount of muscles that ONLY male vamps seem to have.

2. not-like-the-other-girls syndrom: main character insults other women by calling them b*tchy and easy, while the promiscuous main char and men are fine, even though they're all supposed to be mature.

3. main character is of course a virgin. (and this has the men slobbering, of course)

4. the men are mindlessly mean to vamp women and apparently only have eyes for this plain jane Mary Sue. (they literally insult other women then compliment her in the same breath, just for existing).

5. inconsistency in power; Falon wins a fight vs a vamp without any shifter power, when if she was this strong to begin with then she could have overpowered Noah and Caleb at the start.
She also won the fight by STRANGLING A VAMP. (incase it wasn’t obvious, they don't need to breathe. and they don't have circulation, so why does her face turn purple? again, sexist to make vamp women so weak.) Make it make sense please.

This is BARELY scratching the surface in terms of everything that's wrong/cringe with this book. I would sooner believe this took place in highschool. Would have enjoyed it more if there was less of putting others down just to hype up main char.

I am definitely not the target demograph, I think.

Really good regret not listening sooner

I was unsure when I first read the synopsis but glad I took the risk. Love how everyone’s voices appear in conversations but the narrator reading the Irish Priest sounds too old for the character which is a shame. I will be downloading the other books on my kindle to read as the story has me hooked.
