About this listen
“Madison Kate Danvers was murdered tonight.”
Those words changed my life, and not for the better.
They were wrong, of course. I wasn’t dead. But I was set up.
After being charged with a string of offences - and made an example of by my political-minded father - I’m eventually released back into Shadow Grove with one thing on my mind.
Hate.
Someone is going to pay for derailing my carefully laid-out future. Someone is going to catch the full force of my hate. How very convenient that someone just moved into the bedroom down the hall from me.
Archer D’Ath and his boys messed with the wrong chick, and they’re about to learn just how cold Madison Kate’s hate can run.
Hate is a full-length mature college/new-adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. This is a reverse-harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest.

Obsessed
I'm obsessed with Tate James and this series is where it started. It's got angsty enemies, steamy scenes and a dark underlying storyline.

4.25 stars
I have truthfully put this series off so long because I thought I'd hate it. But I actually really enjoyed it. I totally see the comparison to Raven from Brayshaw with MK. But I was honestly so surprised at how much I wanted to know all about this whole Shadow Grove world. I can easily get sucked in and I'm glad I already have book 2 on audio. I'm excited because I haven't binged a series in a minute and it feels like MK might be that series.

wish I could rate it higher
Brilliant story and seamless voicing of the men and woman's voice. I absolutely fell so much deeper in love with this story after listening to it vs reading it again!

ohh my GOD!!!
I love this book. Love the narration. But most of all... I love her, the FMC. She's a badass, not taking any crap from anyone and that in itself is a turn on. It does help how amazing the narrators performance is. I'm all in.

Nailed it
5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & 2 🌶️🌶️. GURL. The narrators Brooke Daniels and Lucas Wembley totally NAILED this audiobook performance. Thoroughly enjoyed Madison-Kate Danvers sassy steadfast attitude and the swearing and inner monologues just made her personality even better. The characters were all well written in that regard. This made me also fan girl and want to dye my hair pink.
So, the men?
Steele, pierced grey eyes and pianist skilled fingers 😏.
Kodiac (Kodi) Blonde, Green-eyed and Sexy.
Archer, blue eyes, dark hair and protective as hell, always angry at the world and equally as gorgeous.
All of which are also insanely tall, hot, chiseled-six-pack wielding tattooed gods. Oh, and did I mention they’re gang member bad boys? 😩🔥they’re also sort of assholes, and hiding things so there is that. But they make our Madi scream so that makes it totally okay!
The storyline sort of centres around the wrathe versus reaper gang wars. Madi takes the blame for a crime and is sent away and returns to shadow grove and SGU (uni) that her dad has setup and trying to get it to an elite school status. Her dad is straight up an asshole. So naturally, she has daddy issues too. The plot twists from there and the book ends in an action packed cliffhanger and I honestly have no clue where the plot will go. Looking forward to continuing the series!
