Summary

There are three rules for being best friends with a mafia princess:

  1. Don't ask any personal questions.
  2. Don't show up at her house unannounced.
  3. Don't ever ever let anyone know you're friends.

For three years, I followed the rules. Vicky and I met once a week at the diner where I worked. I was her slice of normalcy; she was the one person in whom I could confide. It might have been unconventional, but it worked for us.

One night, all hell broke loose, and I got caught up in a battle of bloodshed where we almost lost our lives. I ended up face-to-face with Vicky's dangerous older brothers: Anthony, William, and Nicholas Civella - the made men of the Kansas City Mob.

After fighting for my life and proving myself worthy, they brought me into their deadly world. It was glamorous but twisted. Torture, death, and crime followed me everywhere I went, chiseling away at parts of me until I wasn't the same anymore.

Slowly, I betrayed my best friend and fell in love.

Chances are, they'll ruin me. This thing between us has deadly consequences. But in this criminal world, I'm learning that the rules don't apply when you're the boss.

Malice

Wow! I already loved this book! Coralee has truly created the most unique characters in this book. Listening to this book made me fall in love with each character even more. Malice, Anthony, and William have such a strange dynamic amongst brothers. Juliet gets pulled into their world in a flash. She somehow completes each man and makes their bond stronger. I truly can't wait for the next two books to come to audio! Natalie Eaton was absolutely phenomenal narrating each character!

love this book!

I loved this book the first time I read it and I wanted to get a little refresher before I read the next book in the series. This recording was easy to listen to. I really enjoyed Natalie Eaton's performance. I find the tone and cadence of her voice very pleasing.

Dark and dirty

A dark mafia romance with both grit and smut! This is a true work of art and I cannot wait for the rest of the series.

Reverse Harem

This story is so far fetched, it’s ridiculous. Reverse harem is not for me. It’s too unrealistic.

❤❤❤

New author for me. I really liked this! It hints at so much, teases you and it's hard to dislike the bad guys. Some parts I felt on a personal level. ❤ Malice 😈 Now I need the next.
Crushing fetish...😬 that's a first.

Not my cup of tea

As with all books, we allow ourselves to go on a journey with the author, with this one I really wanted to get off. Juliet as a character was absolutely selfish and one minded, so was Malice, I got why they ended up in their own World of "love". it was unfortunate for Anthony and William to be dragged down that road too. Viki was betrayed not just by her family but someone she chose to be her friend. I got why she left them to burn in it. The only thing I really enjoyed was the Narrator, she was pretty good. I won't be torturing myself with another one, I get off the selfish train here.

**a small spoiler

I only finished to see what happens. But I never hated a main character like I hated Juliet or whatever her name was. And when the sister came back for her revenge, I was very happy. But also sad it didn't go her way too.

No, these high ratings are just ridiculous

This is the worst book I've read from this author. This reads like amateur mafia hour with the winy, naive FMC and overdone straight forward tropes. There's also poor connection with the male characters, I'm not feeling it at all. Plus the plot is kind of boring for a "dark" read. I say "dark" with sarcasm, because to be considered dark to me, in this day in age, you shouldn't make the story so cliche. Everything is oh so shocking and surprising to her that she's always one step away from clutching her pearls and saying, "well I never". They even called her a pet, like an actual one and there wasn't even a thought in her weak brain to deny it. This is the same person that has a blog talking about true crime??? What? Yeah no. I like my FMCs that don't act like dolls. I just hate books that prove to be just as interesting as the initial description. It just makes the purchase and sitting through the story so pointless.
