Summary

What do a heartless Dragon Shifter, a cold-blooded Basilisk, an arrogant Lion Shifter, and a brooding, tattooed Harpy have in common…?

Me.

Elise Callisto. Vampire. Angel of vengeance. And a girl on a mission to destroy one of them for murdering my brother. I just don’t know which one did it yet.

When I kicked the ass of a Werewolf who was high on a new and dangerous drug called Killblaze, his final words painted a dark reality for me. The King of Aurora Academy killed my brother. The trouble is, there’s four kings at that school, and each of them have motive and cutthroat natures.

Aurora Academy isn’t a place for the faint of heart. To put it lightly, my town is the asshole of Solaria where the dodgiest Fae in the kingdom reside. The school itself is divided by the two gangs who run this town, The Lunar Brotherhood and the Oscura Clan. And guess what? Two of the kings run the gangs at the school, their hatred for each other so fierce I hear a day doesn’t go by without blood being spilled in the halls.

I might be a petite, lilac-haired girl who looks like a fragile doll, but they haven’t been introduced to my fangs yet. And they don’t know why I’m really here. Or that I’ll do whatever it takes to bring down the Fae who took my flesh and blood from me.

I don’t believe in fate, but I do know this…the King who killed my brother is a dead man walking. And I’m prepared to sacrifice my heart, body and soul to ensure I get my revenge.

This is a reverse harem series set in the world of Zodiac Academy four years before the Vega Twins were awakened. Expect some character cross-over, dark and hot romance, and a twisted murder mystery which will leave your head spinning.

murder, mystery, magic, mayhem & power hungry Fae

I've heard a lot of good things about these authors so thought it was time to give this series a go. I really enjoyed it! There is a hell of a lot going on, but then there are five lead characters and we got multiple chapters from all of them, plus glimpses from the past, so its not surprising.

I loved Elise, she was fiery, sassy, determined and was the only one to stand up to all four Kings of the Academy. The four guys.....Ryder, Dante, Gabriel and Leon..... what can I say about them. Most of them were a-holes a lot of the time, but the further the book progressed, we started to see their other side, the one they keep hidden from the world. I hated and loved them all at times (apart from Leon, he and his Mindys cracked me up. It was mad but he just made me smile!) they were all different, maddening, stubborn and powerful, but it's clear they all bring something unique that Elise is drawn to.

With a murder to solve and four suspects, with danger all around her, can Elise stay on track or will the four make her crack.....

Fantastic ending to a long book which had depth, detail and very good world building with a good dash of humour, suspense, fierce rivalries and chemistry waiting to ignite.

I listened to the audio version and both authors were excellent.  I'm looking forward to what comes next.

Whychoose magical academy romance

Now that they've FINALLY finished the series in audio books, I can finally listen to them. This book ends on a cliffhanger, so be prepared to spend more credits!

Our guys:
Emotionally distant harpy who sees the future.
Family focused storm dragon mafia boss.
Psychotic and broken basilisk gang leader (opposite side than the dragon, because of reasons).
Overly friendly lion master thief.

Our girl:
After the death of her brother, our vampire girl wants to track down the killer (is it one of the guys?!?).

The good:
Actual character development, backstories for female, and guys. Personalities and characters outside our 'circle of love' that are recognizable and are important to the story. An actual amazing plot that isn't as predictable as most romance books. Great voice acting and multiple points of view. You won't be able to stop listening, so your house will end up cleaner and you'll get lots of exercise on long walks.

The bad:
You won't be able to stop listening, so you will start losing sleep and missing social obligations. Keira Stevens is replaced before the series ends. I haven't gotten far enough into the series yet to know if the replacement is good or bad, but it will change before the series is over.

I loved the books - but the audios ..

Wow! I honestly love the book of this series, but having these voices to go with it? Completes everything. If you haven’t already given these books a go and prefer audiobooks then definitely go download these. The voice for Elise is even better than I imagined. I can’t wait for the other books.

These books are truly amazing. If you’re a fan of the Zodiac Academy series you will love these. This series is like the dirtier, grittier version of ZA. None of these Fae were born with a silver spoon and they all have issues that you’re dying to get to the bottom of. This book introduces Elise - a young female vampire who is hurt and broken, but with it she is strong and has brilliant depth. Leon, Dante, Ryder and Gabriel are all interested in the new girl. One has seen things he wish he could change and they’re all feeling new things towards the new comer. I can’t wait to see where this series go next because I’m hooked on these like Killblaze

Enticing

This book is held in the Fae world, not a mention of humans and therefore human behaviour something you have to push out your mind when reading books like this.

In this world the strongest win. Getting someone to do your notes is seen as strong fae. One on one fighting till the other down is the fae way. Throw in gang wars and killer drug, and you get the academy our FMC has started.
FMC, Ellise, is 18 and shes hunting her brother's (Gareth) killer. She knows one thing, a King killed him. The MMCs, four kings we are introduced to are Leon, Ryder, Dante and Gabriel and are 19...I think.

The story is dark, not yet twisted and filled with angst as many truths come out but not the ones she's seeking. There's four romantic interests, and all four should be off limits as they are all King's.

The story is told from 6 POVs, as it also jumps to Gareth POV before his death. At first it's confusing but as you get use to the way this is written it gets addictive.

There's arson, gang fights, fae fights, dark magic, FM smut and spice, grows, and banter. And it's not just dark, it's also funny. The emotions expressed were so deep as I was pulled into a moment the character is having. But I also barked out laughing at silly moments the characters had...Leon and his using hands to block out faces and the scene it relates to had me chuckling out loud.
