Summary

His family killed my brother, so I stole his bride....

I was there to murder her father, but then I saw her walking down the aisle.

She’s been my secret obsession for too long. The sinfully beautiful Calabresi princess.

Sloan was the perfect payment for their crimes.

Now she’s mine.

Mine to claim.

Mine to possess.

Mine to destroy.

Her fiancé is still hunting for us, but his bride might not be so innocent by the time he tracks her down.

I’m lining her family up like dominoes. And she’ll be the first to fall.

Unless I fall prey to temptation and decide to keep her for myself.

Rocco and Sloan’s story is a stand-alone enemies-to-lovers dark romance with a HEA and no cliff-hanger. It contains heat, passion and explosive steamy scenes for listeners who enjoy mature content.

Book 1…. Good story 5 ⭐️

I enjoyed listening to this story. It’s not dark for a Mafia story. The story centres around Sloan and Rocco. The two main characters have great chemistry and you’ll love listening to how their relationship develops. I recommend this book.

Book 2 got released in July 2020 but it’s not on audible yet. Beautiful Savage is available on the kindle store

Best Mafia stand alone by far

This is a fantastic stand alone story.
I found that this wasn’t your typical Mafia story and this intrigued me more.
The narration was done to perfection, fantastic accents.
Would love a continuation of their story

So Good

Sloan is the daughter of mafia boss Giuseppe Calabresi who doesn’t let her live her own life she’s just a pawn in his sick game. When she gets back from her 4 years studying in Italy she’s thrown into more turmoil and told she has to marry on her wedding day she is kidnapped by Rocco Romero . The heat between Sloan and Rocco is sizzling and as much as he tells himself she’s just a means to and end he protects her from other Romero’s.

Sinners bay mafia? Yes please

The sisters have done it again. Is there a book they will ever write that will be a flop? Probably not!
Romeo abs Juliet eat your heart out there’s a new crossed lovers story in town.
Sloan is Rocco’s biggest mistake while he is her biggest nightmare but together they are each other’s freedom. Freedom from the chains of family commitments and freedom from the pain of lost brothers.
Their story was amazing and the Bordeaux pair done an amazing job reading the couple. The story was brought to life by these two and the conflict of falling for the enemy was felt with every word.
The production and sound was great however the accent was a bit to be desired. Still great, but I know how hard accents can be!
Great book, great listen, would defo recommend

Great story and HEA ending

I really enjoy books by Caroline Peckham ans Suzanne Valenti! Beautiful Carnage is Rocko and Sloane's story. it's filled with secrets, betrayl, hate and love!! The journey is worth while if you listen!! I love Bridget and Jake Bordeaux's narration!! They both do a fantastic job! I really enjoyed how they brought the characters to live for me!! Again and excellent audiobook!!

Sloan and Rocco

This was an OK mafia book. Sloan was kidnapped on her wedding day by a rival mafia family. I found Sloan to be very annoying but I cannot fault her for trying to get out of her situation. Her little dog was absolutely adorable in trying to find her. The book dragged for me in the middle, but the last quarter of the book was great. Bridget Bordeaux did an OK job with the narration; however, I did not care for Jake Bordeaux's narration. It seemed like he was trying too hard to have that mafia inflection in his voice.

Don’t get this

The audiobook is all over the place. It’s like pieces are missing and nothing is cohesive.

OTT

1 “it was a near thing but I managed with great effort not to die of boredom” star

Audible version. Narration was well done considering what they had to work with. If this was a screenplay it would be right in line with the overacted telenovelas.

Funny and cute story

Main character gave the woman dog food for dinner the first night and in the middle of being kidnapped she was lkke "Wheres the dog?" I don't know why that was so funny.

Good book but odd narration.

The storyline was great! I just wish I had read the book instead of listening to it. The way the narrators read the book was adifficult pill to swallow. The cadence was off and it sounded so choppy and over dramatic. I get emphasizing some conversations but the entire audio was overly emphasized. I would pick this up in “hardcopy” over audio.

Horrible

I couldn’t finish it. The male narrator made the main character sound like teenage thugs. Don’t waste your money or credits

OK Mafia Book

I love some of the other books this author pair has released, but this one was just ok; the mob cliches were just too overdone. Still, the right narrators could have made the audio experience SO much better. These narrators are quite good in other books I've listened to, but in this one they just couldn't bring the characters to light, particularly the male narrator. The Italian brothers should have sounded dark and dangerous and sexy as sin. Instead, they sounded like middle management, mouth-breathing street toughs. This was not a satisfying listen.

Series

I wished that the cover had the sign stating that this was the first book in a series. The story was easy to follow but the end felt rushed and had me wondering what happened between the scene at the river to Sloan giving birth a whooping 9 months later. It really sucks that I have to wait for the next book whenever that will be😤
