Summary
Note to my stupid cupid self: The next time I go and anchor myself to a hot covey, make sure those anchors aren't about to compete in a fight to the death.
Yeah. Total downer.
I have a body now, and I don't intend to lose it. I also don't intend to lose the genfins that I've grown so attached to. So it's time to return to the kingdom island and hope like hell that my guys make it through the royal trials of the culling. I also have to hope that the prince of the realm doesn't spot me. If he does, I'm pretty sure I have imprisonment and torture to look forward to.
But we can make it through this. I know we can. I'm at least 70 percent sure we can, anyway. Okay, maybe it's more like 50-50. But after we do? Well, my to-do list is long, but convincing my genfins that they belong with me is pretty high up there. So is dessert. And trying some fairy wine.
And skinny dipping. Also sex. Lots and lots of sex.
But mostly, I just want what I've always wanted - to have love of my own. Wings crossed that the genfins get on board with that plan. This cupid has her work cut out for her.
Author's note: This is the second book of the Heart Hassle Series, so there is a cliff-hanger. Be warned. This is a reverse harem story and includes sexually explicit scenes and mature language. Intended for ages 18 years and older.

I'm conflicted
The introduction of Okot into the harem felt abrupt and didn’t quite work for me. He didn’t earn the spot he was given, and I struggled to connect with his role. The ending was a cliffhanger, but honestly, it didn’t leave me eager to pick up the next installment right away. I’ll likely return to it later when I’m less frustrated with how things played out with Okot. There’s potential here, but I need a break from the situation for now!
Love the narration though!

Huge improvement from the first book!
Book 2 is a huge improvement on the first. ML is much less annoying in her thoughts and I love that the guys are more open and comfortable. I found the inclusion of another guy to be pretty random. In the space of a single chapter there's an entire devoted relationship. Compared to the first book, it's insanely fast-paced. However he turns out to be a great character that I enjoy a lot. He also provides a lot of information about the fae world in the absence of the original three. I especially like him in the second half of the book as he works with the three original guys and really feels like part of the group.
There's a lot more action in this book, especially as the Covey fight their way through the Culling. The action scenes are thrilling and have me on the edge of my seat. There's also so much more humour in this one. I nearly died laughing through the yes/no questions with lust/flirt responses. The series has definitely found its feet now.
The narration is fab. The change in tone in the funny scenes vs the serious ones works beautifully to convey the emotions of the characters.

Wow
So this one takes the heat and humour from the first book and amps it up to 100. I have loved the new addition to the harem and the cliff hanger has me desperate for the next book. Love this one

Laugh out loud funny!
This book has been a complete emotional roller-coaster, from laugh out loud to crying, and edge of the seat drama! ML is adorable and naive, and incredibly funny, to know her is to love her, as her men discover! i can't stop here book 3 is calling me!

DNF’ed the last hour.
The story is fine, but the FML is so annoyingly written. So naive and honestly dumb, which makes no sense if she has lived for more than 50 years.
