Summary
VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD: a Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium is a comprehensive companion guide for background, history, reader-favorite information, and reference materials. Combined with original short stories and scenes from some of the world’s most beloved characters, it’s a treat for the senses.
Told from the point of view of Miss Willa herself, the compendium acts like research material but reads like a journal and cache of personal notes, allowing the reader to revisit the characters and history they so love yet view things in a different way.
VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD by Jennifer L. Armentrout with Rayvn Salvador is a must-add addition to the series that any Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire fan will enjoy.

Repetitive
Don't get the thought behind this book at all. A really long retell of every character and event written in an "encyclopedia-manner". Felt like listening to a very repetitive dictionary read out load. Couldn't finish.

Not really, what any of us wanted out this book?
The biggest problem I have with this book is it doesn’t progress the story in any meaningful way. The whole book is a recap of what has happened in the previous five entries. Which makes it quite boring to listen to.

Boring disappointing - wasted book
Repetitive is an understatement with very little learnt or new. Best avoided to maintain enjoyment of the series.

Terrible
Don’t understand this book at all. Doesn’t add anything other than an “encyclopaedia” approach to all the events and characters so far. Couldn’t finish

Waste of time
This book is a total recap of all the other books and story is keep repeating itself from the different views of the many characters. As I have read all the other books. it didn't make any sense to me.

What a delight and Stina is the star of the show
I could listen to Stina Nielsen narrate the bible or some other boring book and I would love it. The talent this narrator has is beyond amazing.
As for the book? There is something incredibly satisfying in reading about the events in the books you love, especially when they are summarised in that factual manner and read in Stina Nielsen’s beautiful voice.
I am not sure what other readers expected of this compendium. It was very clearly disclaimed as benign just that - a summary of events that already happened, a glossary of sorts with introductions to the characters and the world. I truly thought it was fantastic.
There were also plenty of hints and additional detail thrown in there for those patient enough to look for it. And things like Kieran’s interview was the absolute delight of the whole 25+ hours of this listening experience.
I am so pleased JLA has decided to release this. Highly recommend. Especially ahead of the final books coming out soon.

Overview/Summary
I understand that some readers/listeners haven't appreciated this book in the series because you don't learn anything majorly new. However I really appreciated the recap and summary because I listened to them all one after another as soon as I started and I think I must have missed bits so this book was very helpful for clarification. I wouldn't say you HAVE to include this if you don't want to but if you do have the time then it is worth it.
