Summary

Twenty-two-year-old Ivy Morgan isn't your average college student. She, and others like her, know that humans aren't the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun... and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. Four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she'd sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.

Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He's six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers that are stalking the streets. As Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes that she's not the only one who's carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. She is no longer sure which is more dangerous to her - the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

Basically a dodgy porno

I gave up on this about an hour from the end, first couple of chapters were OK but then it just turned into a rank porno. The storyline didn't do much and the romance between the main characters was a total bore with no depth just loads of aching breasts etc. Her breasts ached pretty much evertime ren looked at her it is a joke. If this is what you want then I guess you will love it but I just found it grim in the end it was more and more explicit sex and less and less story as it went on. I absolutely love the shadow hunter books by cassandra clare and this is absolutely not in the same ballpark sadly.

Wicked

Loved the premise of guardians of gates to the land of the Fae and that the order hunted the ones trapped here . It is also a love story of Ivy and Ren but not mushy (quite naughty and in parts sexy)
Ivy lives with Tink a brownie who she keeps a secret as the order would kill him and they have a lovely friendship even if he does have wierd cravings for dolls and sugar lol...
I would highly recommend it, it's a good listen the narrator was very easy on the ears and I can't wait for the second book Torn to be released hopefully by the end of this year fingers x'd

Loved it!!

Loved the characters, Tink is so funny and I can't wait for the next book. Jennifer writes with such imagination you can't help but picture the events of the story in your head. Her characters touch your heart every time, but they are not soft or sappy. It's a great audiobook and the narrator did a fantastic job. I greatly recommend it!

If you’re into Twilight creepiness

I stopped listening, when the main romantic interest crept into her bedromme, while she slept.
The supernatural part is OK, but the male characters are all walking all over her boundaries.
Not for me.

I enjoyed every once of this book. It draws you in and keeps you drawn in. I love Ivy, her story is only beginning and the chemistry between her and Ren, wow! Can't wait to listen to the next book 😍

Brilliant! Totally addictive reading.

Ivy's part of an elite group of fighters keeping humans safe from the other worldly fay. Ren is a new solider in town joining her group who she's asked to show around. They get close but there's an awful twist at the end. Get ready to feel gripped.

Childish and brash

Boring, predictable and immature. Really obvious dialogue and the heroine seems pretty dumb. Felt like it was written by a teenager. Nice performance though!

Hooked

I love Jennifer Armentrouts books and this book is no different. I will say, it was a nice change for the two characters not spending chapter after chapter two toeing around their feelings. Wren was in there and that made it easy to get hooked!

Great story, horrible narration

Liked the story, but the narration was horrible. Especially the male parts. I think it would have bern better if narrator just used normal voice for all characters rather than making them sounds so awful
