Confrontation: Thomas Baldwin has been appointed captain of the state-of-the-art cruise ship Constantine, named after his heroic grandfather. When their first diplomatic mission turns deadly, all signs point to the return of a former adversary, one the Concord claims to have defeated five decades earlier.
Unification: The Concord is in shambles after the return of the Statu, but under the guidance of the Zilph'i, trust is slowly being rebuilt.
Culmination: Captain Thomas Baldwin and the crew of Constantine have saved the Concord from the Assembly and are tasked with bringing them to prison.
Hierarchy: Captain Thomas Baldwin has made a name for himself in a short period of time. The Statu have finally been defeated, and the Concord has Tom and his crew to thank for the victory.
Lineage: Thomas Baldwin transfers to Ridele, the capital of Nolix, and the center of the Concord political arena. He must navigate the new role, while his former crew sets off on an important mission without him.
Legacy: Admiral Thomas Baldwin has more to live for after the recent news. All eyes are on him as the biggest war in Concord Space history begins in earnest.

great potential but fall short
There were just constant inconsistencies within the story. It felt like the story was patched together instead of having a smooth flow to it. This is a shame, as it had great characters that weren't developed properly. it was still worth a credit for the length.

Superb space opera
A superb space opera. An epic stretching across all six books leading to a dramatic conclusion. Captain Tom Baldwin battles enemies both alien and internal and uncovers a millennium spanning conspiracy. Great characters, involving and action packed stories that twist and turn so you are never sure who is on which side, a little romance and lots of drama. Stunning. Narration is excellent bringing an extra depth to the stories. Highly recommended

Plenty of enemies, backstabbers, aliens, space travel, twists the lot. So get on it, well worth a credit.

Good story
Star Trek meets Star Wars well narrated and intricate story line. I kept me entertained on holiday helped get a good tan.

Interesting and fun
I got bored eventually, but it was exciting at first. I think the narrators delivery just wasn't enough of my cup of tea after a while, and I couldn't be enthused with the plot.
Nonetheless I think others should give it a shot, especially if they have Plus.

stayed pretty steady throughout with good narration. well worth a listen especially if your a member as I am so I listened via plus catalogue

A Perfect Series.
A perfect introduction to sci fi for beginners new to the genre. The level of detail is lighter than what I am used to in regards to the technology/universe knowledge etc.I find that refreshing.

Great story. had me in it's grip throughout. probably needed a more capable narrator, seemed to get character voice differences mixed up.
