Summary
Jack Reilly's luck ran out just before the war did. Resigning his commission in the Alliance shortly after the end of the war with the Serkins, he went out into the galaxy looking for a job. Signing onto the Glacier Runner 17, an old and rundown cargo ship, Reilly finds himself working for a clueless captain, mixed up in an intergalactic conspiracy, on the run from assassins, and involved with two women in relationships that he could only call "complicated".
And that's just book one. Follow Lt. Jack Reilly and his partner, Major Mitchel, through their adventures.
Bundle pack includes:
Lt. Reilly 2321
Lt. Reilly and the Backbird Offensive
Lt. Reilly and the Phantom Raptor
Major Mitchell and the Carplex Conspiracy
Lt. Reilly and the Tansky Gambit

A surprising hit
As the story and narration started I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy these books, but I was glad to be wrong. The characters and narration grew on me across each book and the narrator brought the main characters personality and quirks to life. The stories were never ridiculous but built a great mystery up that was gradually unpacked as the story developed. Definitely worth spending a credit on.

A great sci-fi space detective series
I really enjoyed this series, set in an interesting universe with lots of plot twists and even some humour, I cannot recommend this title enough.
it is both well written and the voice acting is seem less. I am now off to get the next in the series.
Please note I was given a copy of this audiobook to leave a non-bias review which this is.

JAG in space
Good collection of books, that improved as the series continued and the dynamic between the three leads was resolved.

A decent yarn
The story isn’t exactly unusual for the genre but I enjoyed it and happily recommend it. The only caveat I have was the book read by the female reader. Alas the story for that book was right out of Mills and Boon and I struggled to get through it. Plus, the main reader was so good that matching that standard was a task that just wasn’t met hence the single star omission. I will though look for the authors other books and definitely follow the narrator’s other works he is first rate.

Awesome, worth every penny !
The best:
Five books collection
for the price of one.
It’s impossible not to love
L.T. Reilly.
Matthew O. Duncan came up with a simple experience military LT. Reilly, a character which you just can’t not like, the guy an excellent mechanic and at times an investigator ( when needed ), he can fix anything in a spaceship and like a magician always find a way to solve problems even in wars.
As usual Caroline McLaughlin narration is always right on and perfectly done always creating a masterpiece of an audiobooks including this one !
Absolutely
without a doubt
I fully recommend
this collection of
five audiobooks !
Oded Ostfeld.

Not what I expected but still excellent!!
I expected this to be one of the "underdog vs the alien invaders" series of books but I was mistaken. This is mostly about Lt Reilly (although book 4 is mostly about Major Mitchell) who, as an engineer, has to think his way out of situations that most other people would panic and die in.
The story-lines are intelligent and engaging and the characters believable. I'm very glad that the "complicated" relationship between Reilly and the two main female characters remains "complicated" without becoming a harem situation.

the perfect mix of Sci-Fi and crime
I got this as a free review copy.
in my personal opinions perfect mix of sci-fi and crime caper with a bit of espionage well active dry phone both narrators
a very gripping story with enough individual different between each and five while still maintaining the core plot thread through the entire series I will definitely really listen again at some point once I have purchased the next book in the series and the three spin-offs

Best credit of 2023
bought on a whim as the title LT Riley conjured up a hapless young officer whom you'd only let use a map under the supervision of a senior nco. Happy to say I was wrong as it's a great book and the narration was spot on.
