Summary
A lot has changed for Dillon Mackey in just a few months in space.
Solving the mystery of who wiped out his mentor's people has closed one chapter, but if anything, life has become more complicated on that front.
An attack upon their Kwaagi friends adds a new wrinkle to things, but that's hardly the worst of it as a mysterious black ship begins pursuing Dillon and Sherisza across space-time to issue a deadly warning.
What lies beyond the veil of space-time, and what new dangers will it bring into their lives as they try to save her species?
Book two in the Infinite Horizons space opera series from debut author J.D. Sullivan.

highly religious
The bit of religious stuff she put in the first one was relatively minor, so I just ignored it, but this one is mostly proselytizing and going on and on about how very much in love they are. I already find annoying when science fiction is written by people with no significant understanding of the appropriate discipline(s) for their story, but this is ridiculous. I liked the story in the first book so much that I overlooked the shortcomings and went straight into the second one. I will not read the third at all. This is not science fiction. It is a PG romance novel. And it is to science fiction, what "Christian rock" is to music (with the exception of one really good song). At least put something in the title to warn people, instead of ambushing them. It is like the time I was invited to a wedding and got there to find that it was actually a tent revival, and we were packed in too tightly to quietly slip away. Why do you people think it is okay to force your delusion on everyone else? Believe what you want to believe, but don't sneak up on me with it. If I were interested, you would not have to trick me. Shame on you.

Amazing sequel!
I continue to enjoy J.D. Sullivan story. When I finished the first book I couldn't wait to get the second. The book did not disappoint! I have like story so much I have bought soft cover and extra audiobook for my girlfriend to listen to. If anyone is looking for a light, easy to read sci-fi that doesn't take itself too serious than this series is for you. You will love the character and that damn AI is a riot!
