Summary

My brother is bleeding. My stepsister is gone. The ones responsible called themselves family. By blood, and now by marriage. I want to destroy them for what they've done. Burn everything they have to the ground. But first I need to find her. Ryth. The pathetic little mouse that scurried into our lives and made a home. I can't forget her; can't get her out of my head.

She unleashed something dangerous in me.

Something that drove me to ruin her.

And ruined myself in the process.

She was once a game to me; she still is...only this time it's for keeps.

So good

I read the book a while ago and loved it . The audiobook was perfect the narration was perfect. Things are getting exciting when the guys try and save Ruth from the Hale Order which is just a guise for a human trafficking ring.

omg

Amazing dual narration from Jack Calihan and Ana Cole

We start off from book one ended. We have action, full of drama with no let up. It’s dark and intense. it's steamy and its full of OMG moments. Ryth parents send her to a home that the Hale order use for human trafficking under the guise of a troubled home. Caleb, Tobias and Nick get into all sorts of trouble trying to get her back.

Ok

This series had a lot of potential and there are some great dark and sexy parts to it, but there are too many things that annoy me to continue.
Ryth is not a very likable heroine. She is really tough at times which I liked, but she is also a jealous, whiney, self involved brat. Too much of this book had drawn out descriptions of sex abuse (not the heroine) which was just a turn off…the continuing of the term little sister just makes it kinda gross. I get the step sister taboo but it isn’t gross as they are not siblings in any way that counts, but the whole focus on family and referring to each other as brother and sister is just not for me.

Nothing like the first one. Wtf?

Not sure what happened here. Felt like a different writer. Wasn't impressed at all. Very repetitive and complete changes in the boys from the first book. Felt like they were different characters, and they all made really stupid decisions. Disliked it a lot.
