About this listen
I spent the night with a stranger….
Who got me pregnant….
And turned out to be my boss….
Whoops, sorry, did I say “boss”? I meant a mob boss.
To be fair, I didn’t know he was my boss when I slept with him. I thought he was just the kind stranger offering me a place to stay. But one night in Misha Orlov’s hotel room got me way more than I bargained for.
It got me champagne that tasted like starlight.
Satin sheets as soft as a dream.
And a man with silver eyes who showed me how it felt to come undone.
And then, in the morning…
He was gone.
That’s fine: I needed to get my life together anyway.
After all, my ex-not-quite-husband (it’s a long story) just emptied all our bank accounts and disappeared, taking my home and my money and my job with him.
So I’m starting from a blank slate.
I find myself a new apartment.
A new job.
And I put both Misha and my husband behind me.
At least, I thought I did.
Until Day 1 of orientation.
When I learn that Misha Orlov is my new boss.
That’s bad enough.
What’s worse is what came next.
A car crash.
A doctor’s appointment.
And two pieces of unsettling news.
Congratulations, the doctor says. You’re pregnant.
Congratulations, Misha says. You and I are getting married.
Champagne Venom is Book One of the Orlov Bratva duet. Misha and Paige’s story concludes in Book 2, Champagne Wrath.

Hot chemistry ❤️🔥🔥❤️🔥
Paige is strong and resilient, she's well-suited to Misha. Paige is a strong female lead and Misha needs her. Misha finds it hard to trust people, he knows Paige is special but fights against his feelings. Paige meets Misha in a pizza restaurant, she’s homeless, starving and feeling alone. One night at the four seasons with Misha opens up a whole new world.

ANNOYING FMC
Wow I was annoyed with how angry and spiteful she was towards the MMC . . Pregnant or not , I hoped the MMC would dump her miserable head . . She’s so far in her own head
she stomps on anyone else . He was nothing but nice to her , wanting to marry her as she was carrying his child . . And still she moans !! Couldn’t read anymore . She irritated me that much .

Not her best
This isn’t Nicole Fox’s best. I will not buy the second book. Paige get pregnant. And after that what is close to mental abuse starts. I couldn’t finish this book.

Bad Narration
I just spent hours listening to a story that doesn't have an ending, with bad narration.
There's a book 2 for the ending. Use a credit to find out what happens in a mediocre story and the female narrator's dramatics??
A understand narration is a difficult job, in my opinion to do it right you have to really present the characters so the listener can make their mind up from the author's words.
In this case the female's, especially the Paige the main character, your decision is made for you.

Not nearly as good as her other books. It was like pulling teeth.
Story was very weak. Male intonation was very bland, but the female was good. Storyline was really shallow and couldn’t keep me interested. Will definitely not be listening to the next in this series.
