Summary

Real wolves bite...

I was taught my whole life about the importance of true mates, how when you find that one wolf for you, everything falls into place.

Everyone who taught me that was a liar.

When I found my true mate, happily ever after sure as hell didn't start, but hell definitely began.

I ran away, and now I've been searching for peace for weeks as I drive around the country.

I didn't mean to take the wrong road.

I didn't mean to make it to that small town.

And I didn't mean to meet two men, who set me and my wolf on fire.

But here I am somehow, and peace is the last thing I've found.

And don't forget about the serial killer...

This is a rejected mate series, filled with scorching hot wolf shifters who take what they want, enough steam to burn you up, and a hidden town filled with secrets. You'll love this paranormal romance if you love True Blood, Twilight, or Vampire Diaries.

Wild Moon is book one in a new wolf shifter trilogy by C.R. Jane and Mila Young.

Great story

Great suspense, heartbreak and then finding herself. Love a shifter book. Can’t wait to dive into book 2.

Narration is spot on for these characters!

Holy Shifter

This was the very 1st book I ever read by Mila Young and CR Jane so I was super excited to listen to it on audio to get the full experience and SQUEEE, I'm in love with this book all over again. I absolutely love the story line with the 2 ALPHA males and the narrators did a great job with it. This audio makes the steam and the connection between Rune & Wilder and also Rune and Daxon all the better!

Loved it.

The characters are amazing. Though the narrators need to pronounce the word better, the story was awesome. I can not wait for book 2.

narrator needs work

this narrator mispronounced several words. and doesn't make any attempt to bring out any individual voices. All male lines are spoken in a high breathy girl voice, same as the rest of the book. Not very dynamic. Kinda blah all the way thru. The story is good so far, but still hard to focus on. the male narrator is confusing. He has so little speaking time, so why bother?

Hoping it gets better

I find the narrators mispronciations very distracting. For example, everytime she says Ally-stair instead of Alistair, or when she says no-dead instead of nodded.
In terms if the storyline I'm struggling, I'm about halfway through and can't get past the main characters idiocy. She is a wolf shifter and grew up with wolf shifters but somehow doesn't realize that she stumbled into a town full of wolf shifters, seriously?!

The story line was great but couldn’t get past the narrators voice and inability to change characters

Fantastic Listen!

This is a fantastic first book of this new series! The audio and narrators are incredible and really do the story justice! I love the story, it is absolutely wonderful, and I also love the characters! Rune is running from a horrific monster, which lands her, accidentally, in this amazing little town, where she meets two sexy and mysterious men. This audiobook is a definite Must Listen if you love shifter romances as I do.

The voice actors were awful

The voice actors need to take lessons. The production was off as well. There were times when sentences were repeated or she started to say the wrong words so in the middle of that word the sentence would start over and it would be the ?correct word. They both were REALLY bad. The story was good but ended badly.

Different

I liked how the main character, Rune, was able to escape her past. Her present was very interesting and there is a cliffhanger or two. I have to keep reading. I am not sure how I feel about her relationships with the males, but I will give it a chance. 18+

Mehhh

I loved the narrators voice tone but the mispronounced words just had my eyes twitching. The story was a little frustrating considering a wolf who grew up in a shifter community didn’t realize she was in a shifter community…. Only got the guys POV like 2-3 times maybe. Which was frustrating from a multiple POV book. And the voice tone for both of the guys is the exact same.

Couldn't get enough.

This gripped me from the beginning, as it has so much going on:
A woman on the run from an abusive ex and a dark past stumbles upon a close-knit small town that’s clearly got some secrets.
She doesn’t have much and runs into several obstacles—watching her adapt accordingly is satisfying and inspirational. There is SO MUCH to love here …

🌒 Small town vibes
🌖 Fresh start vibes
🌒 Dark past / abusive ex
🌖 Women on the run / hiding
🌒 Multiple potential love-interests
🌖 Fated mates / rejected mates
🌒 Corruption
🌖 Mysterious town / entire community secret-keeping

There is a cliffie and I do not find that a reason to be mad. It’s fun and exciting, IMO. Don’t come for me haha. Totally worth it, epic read.
I’ll just be over here DYING for book 2’s audio.

4 stars.
