Captivating, open minded and insightfully

Excellent book with outstanding narration. The narrator (Dr Marks herself) is neutral yet charismatic. She reads at exactly the right pace. Usually my mind drifts away during audiobooks. But this narrator kept my attention throughout without having to rewind.

A very good book that gives in depth insight into the causes and treatments of anxiety. Besides being informative, the author gives many useful tips and anxiety management techniques for people to try at home.

I also like that the book shines light on traditional as well as more alternative methods. An open mind yet realistic and scientific.

Great Job dr Marks!

Can not wait for the next one.

A comprehensible view of anxiety

I follow the YouTube channel of the author and I love her educational videos. One great plus about this audiobook is that it is read by her. The boos looks at anxiety from different perspectives. At some point it feels a bit long and out of the scope since it considers any type of possible treatment or action that can reduce anxiety, from meds to diet and exercise.

I feel more and more stressed since I started this book

There are a whole bunch of chapters at the start listing the disorders, I feel more and more stressed listening to these disorders and stories with people who have similar or worse anxiety issues than me.

I was looking for more a self help guide and a bit disappointed.
It’s more like a textbook or handbook for psychology students.
