Summary

Since aging out of the foster-care system and becoming a nurse, all I dreamed of was marrying a nice doctor and moving to a yellow two-story house in the suburbs.

So how did a dangerous biker-gang criminal end up handcuffed to my bed? And why did I agree to let that animal teach me how to...ahem...do things? Wicked things. In the very same bed he’s been handcuffed to in order to keep me safe?

Long story.

And it didn’t end well.

Now it’s time to marry my doctor fiancé and make all my former foster kid dreams come true. But who do I spot at the back of the church after I walk down the aisle to join with my perfect groom in marriage?

That dangerous MC. His ice-cold eyes are blazing with rage. And this time he’s totally unchained.

Gulp. It’s not such a nice day for a white wedding after all.

I’m not even one percent sure I’m going to get out of this one with my heart - or my soul - intact.

Narration was disappointing

The story was short but good. The book describes the heroine as a black woman, so it isn't enjoyable to hear the narration of her character by what sounds to be a non-Black narrator.

Perfect!!!

Clementine Dove is brilliant as the narrator! And I’m so happy Theodora Taylor added that epilogue!! It didn’t make me happy thinking Jonathan had gotten away with his abuse. So, yay! Once again, the combination of Theodora Taylor and Clementine Dove is absolute perfection!!! Waylon and Amira were destined to be together! I’ve read the Grif/Red book and cannot wait for the Audible version! This book duet was on fire! Loved it!

good story

so the story is above average for mc romance. . kept me intrigued. narration was just mediocre her male voices.... were not that great. It didn't prevent me from listening though. You have to be a fan of alpha males or you'll be outraged.

This is a good one

This is a good one, Excellent story, the main characters seldom broke character in terms of softening toward the end.

Not for me, but not discounting it

Well, I certainly got a sex education with this TT novel. First, I read after fully considering the warnings that accompanied the title. Then, I read on, even when my eyebrows reached my salt and pepper hairline in shock.

Besides that, the story was incredulous - the women in the 'utopia' were... hmm... not fully clothed but badass/independent/strong... cult operating without the FBI swooping in to interfere? It was a stretch, for me at least.

I did appreciate the underlying storyline: lousy childhood, taking ownership/control, tuning into feelings, etc.

My favorite scene was Waylon discovering Stephanie.

This Audible may be for anyone unperturbed by vivid descriptions of consensual sexual domination.
