Summary

Imagine meeting a stranger one day, only for that stranger to say, “I’m your future wife.” This is exactly what happens to Carter when she heads out of town for work. There’s one problem with this: Carter is already married, and not to this stranger.

Ryder has been working on time travel since she was a little kid listening to her great-grandmother tell stories of the past. Inspired by one of them, Ryder decides to put her scientific mind to task and is determined to build a time-travel device that would right a wrong in her great-grandmother’s past. When Carter meets Ryder outside of a café, she looks exactly like a younger version of the stranger who has given Carter some specific instructions about being at this exact café at this exact time because it would change Carter’s life.

Does Carter believe in time travel? Can Ryder possibly be the woman she should have been with all along?

Join Ryder and Carter as they go on a journey through time, risk their lives, and maybe even fall in love.

where/when would you go?

loved it, though I stopped after 2 chapters and started again to get my head straight.
the story is great, nicole balances romance humour and life in her own wonderful style, with the twist of time-travel and history.
I love history and I collect some coins, it's a great debate about wether time-travel could or should happen, the ripples caused by the butterfly effect, but in the end, personally, I think not.
narration is very good, colbys' voice had me melting, the inflection perfect for the subject.
another winner nicole.

Refreshing storyline. Wonderful narration.

More than just a romance given the time travel element (without overthinking the science behind it but enough to carry the plot). Enjoyed the humourous moments in it, too. Interesting dialogue between the MCs, contemplating the implications of time travel. I liked how the primary reason driving the invention of time travel was woven into the story and the end results of it. The consequences of the time travel on the altering timelines was handled well.

For me, the one aspect that didn't seem to sit well is how the technology was kept under wraps once its theoretical existence was made known to others and had raised interest. Then again, it is a fictional story, so one takes it with a pinch of salt. Overall, it was a good, refreshing plot from Ms Pyland and a pleasant departure from her usual themes.

Blair Baker did a wonderful job with the narration. Character expressions at some points executed superbly. Colby's voice was sultry and very apt given her character.

Well worth a credit. One I'd listen to again.
