Summary

How exactly has one good deed landed me in the penalty box?

Ice Knights defenseman Zach Blackburn has come down with the flu, and my BFF - his PR manager - begs me to put my nursing degree to use and get him back to health. Of course she would call in a favor for the most hated man in Harbor City.

But when he’s finally on the mend and I’m sneaking out of his place, everything goes sideways. Paparazzi spot me and pictures, plus accusations that I slept with him, fly faster than a hockey puck.

At first, all of Harbor City wants my blood - or to give me a girlie-girl makeover. But then…the team finally wins a game. And now this fickle town wants me with the big jerk twenty-four seven.

Argh. I never slept with him the first time! But no one will listen. Then the grumpy bastard goes and promises to break his no-fan-appearances rule to help raise money for a free health clinic - but only if I’m rink-side at every game. That’s not a deal I can turn down.

But when the team keeps winning, and I realize there’s more to him than his bad reputation, suddenly remembering to keep my real hands off my fake date gets harder and harder to do.

Another fabulous addition to this series

It's Fallon Hartigan's turn to find love despite the "in your face " personality she displays. So when she meets Zack Blackburn the tough and grouchy ice hockey player then sparks begin to fly. This is a well written storyline with lots of humour and great characters from previous books in the series. Heartily recommended and deserves the top rating given. The two narrators did an amazing job of bringing all the characters to life ~ WELL DONE

Another great romance in the Hartigans series

I don't like sports romances; I think they're too cheesy. But I had already been through the first 2 books in the Hartigan series and enjoyed them so I gave this one a shot. I'm glad I did.

Avery Flynn has a way of making characters fall in love in a natural way (even when cheesy tropes are involved). And the voice actors just make this so enjoyable to listen to.

Just what I needed...

I want to say that this is my favorite book in the series, but I enjoyed it so much that I want to go back and read Butterface and Muffin Top just to make sure (and also because they're pretty awesome books too). I'm so stoked to read Parental Guidance and get more Ice Knights delightfulness! I also hope we get more from the Hartigan clan because I sort of love them. I loved how fierce and unapologetically self Fallon is - she knows her strengths and weaknesses and embraces them. I also love how vulnerable Zach is - he's just a big old softy in a hard shell. I think that my favorite part of Tomboy though, is that we get enough drama for the plot to move at a good pace, but minimal angst (I had enough of that in the last 7 books I read - your girl was in need of a break). This was just a fun, sexy (perhaps even sexier than the first two books?), lighthearted gem of a story and a great intro to a new series that I'm SUPER excited for! 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

MORE PLEASE! :)

I’m so sad that this is the last book in the series! :( I’m so in love with the Hartigans and their significant others! Avery Flynn is absolutely AMAZING! She is definitely my favorite writer in this genre! I LOVE LOVE LOVE her writing style! The characters and their stories she blesses us with are so relatable and real! I LOVE that! I fall in love with each and every one of them! And the steaminess, oh YUM! ;)

Fun, steamy romance novel

I recommend this series and author. (I'm required to write at least 15 words to review this book so here they are.)

Best of the Hartigan Series

I liked this book so much better than the first in the series. Worth the time and money. Flynn definitely took the notes and reviews of her fans. The characters were not as self loathing. I personally appreciated the foul language, that’s my mouth on the daily.

Too muchToo much Foul language!!!!

I will never understand why authors feel it’s necessary to use foul language in a book, especially the “f” word. It’s disgusting and unneeded. Ruins an otherwise good book.

Good Series

Good series, I like how each book carried over characters, and you get to read a little more from the previous book to see where and what those characters are doing now.
