About this listen
Three young men meet in university and form a lifelong friendship. Their pasts dictate the men they are, but their present shapes their future. What happens when these men meet the one person they are destined to be with? Can they fight their feelings and walk away? Or will they each succumb and learn the sweet agony of love?
Bentley is the leader of the group. He is uptight, formal, and cold. He's rgid and set in his ways, always following the same path. Until the day he stumbles upon her. Emmy brings with her spontaneity and light. The world she lives in is so different from his, yet he cannot control the draw to her. Nor can he explain the way she makes him feel. Happy. Protective. Loved. Contains mature themes.

Bentley
Nice romance between Emmy and Bentley who is so uptight...add kidnap and good morals and it’s a good read or listen. I liked this book. John Lane is brilliant as Bentley, Maxine - Um sorry but not so sure her voice fitted Emmy, sounded older than the character, but didn’t put me off.

Exactly as described
It's a romantic novel with complex characters. I didn't want to stop listening at times. The worlds of both the two main characters were very different from my own and written in a way I was able to just enjoy the story and get lost in it. Also I really liked the fact I didn't really like Bentley.

Good listen
Enjoyed the story and the fact it was the start of a series. Now looking forward to hearing Aidan and Maddox’s back stories.
Would recommend.

Good Story
Another enjoyable listen. Looking forward to Melanie’s next story. John Lane is brilliant with his reading and characters he portrays but I’m afraid Maxine does not suit this series of books, her characters sound too similar, even with other books. As far as the story goes, I’m becoming a fan of Melanie Moreland and her style.

Annoying
The character Bentley is a wimp but more annoying is the female character who is a simpering little woman eager to please her man. She is depicted as a wonderful person, no faults, no mind of her own, just a big sponge
She was okay at first but became so boring as the story developed
