Summary

Decades ago, the world was changed by the arrival of the system.

One day, monsters spawned across the world, gateways to dungeons appeared everywhere, and the blue screens heralded the end of days. The apocalypse. The ruin of the world.

Amongst the ruins of the world, they survive: the players, those granted power by the system and led by the 2nd regressor, the King of the Crows.

He who mastered the system, learned the truth of the apocalypse, and seized the keys of absolute authority. But even a King cannot stop the fall of mankind.

No power is absolute. An end is eventual. The final calamity and coming of disaster.

To fight against the overwhelming power of a mad god, the mark of the regressor will be passed on.

Jax Nolan is picked as the successor, the man destined to go back to the beginning. Back to the start of the apocalypse and the advent of the system...and become the hero of the story.

Upcoming apocalypse book

This is an upcoming apocalypse book, it's another book I have to add to my favorites!, another book I have to get when the sequel releases. This book was really good, it has to be my favorite wolfe locke book besides shady Greg. I honestly can't wait for volume 2!!!.

The narrator is alright, he for sure performed this book to the best of his ability, but there are so many narrators that could've done this book better, and it's not that he's particularly bad, It's just that with how this books written I can see a handful of narrators better for the job. Jonathan johns does deserve props though, he has alot of different voices, and I could see him doing some of my other books and killing it. I rate the narration a 4 star.

The characters are written good, I really liked wolfe lockes writing, I feel like the way he wrote this book adds to the characters. Like I said before, the characters are written really well, the mc is smart and calm in most situations, he uses his knowledge to his advantage. I really like the mc, and I really can't wait to see how he grows in book 2. I rate the characters a 5.

let's talk about the plot, I feel like this is kinda iffy. I like it, but It could use some improvement, I do like the way it played out though. the ending did feel sudden, and some of the plot did feel rushed. I did like the backstory, the book certainly started off good, it had a nice backstory and it certainly was intriguing. Like I said before I feel like the plot could use some improvements, but I don't think it deserves a 3 star. at best its a 4.2 & at worst its 4 going into 3.
the world building has to be the best thing hands down, I loved it. it's detailed, I can never get enough of apocalypse books and this one gave me something fierce. I rate the world building a 5 star.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes apocalypse books, I'll for sure be here for book 2!

good book like where this is going?

overall, it's a very good story. My only two negatives, and they're extremely minor is the actual time travel with a little slow to start. start it took about 2 or 3 hours for him to actually time travel. thus the rest of the story didn't get as much time. and a slight pronunciation issue with the narrator not enough for me to knock down stars however

Underwhelming and Disappointing

With the title on Amazon (Third Apocalypse: A Generic Reincarnation Apocalypse Epic LitRPG Fantasy Adventure With a System (Regressor Book 1)) I was expecting some kind of witty lampooning of the genre and its tropes.

Instead, it was yet another generic reincarnation apocalypse epic LitRPG fantasy adventure with a system. At the very least, I’ll admit that they were very honest with the title. Totally my fault for assuming I was going to get something at least halfway decent. If it weren’t for this level of honesty in the title, I’d give this story 1 star.

An amazingly well written story! Must read!

Wolfe Locke and Mike Caliban did it again with Third Apocalypse! Wolfe has never let me down with any of his solo or collab novels and this one is no exception. The book ties into the world of Genesis Game, Tower of Ruin, Skeletal Champion, and Dungeon of the Old Gods. No requirement to read them all but the total world is amazing! Well written, a good story and plot place, and well thought out characters. I look forward to the next book and the entire trilogy! Audio Version: Jonathan John's did an amazing job with this title as usual. He really brings the characters and total story to life!

Fantastic

I read the book and now I listened to the audio. The narration was great, with a talented range of voices to bring the story to life. Highly recommend.

Solid addition to the Universe

This book stands well enough on its own, but where it really shines is if you have knowledge of the universe!! I love the idea of Jax having to navigate such a dog eat dog world.

Good story

The story is good. The narration takes some time to get used to, but once you do it is not too bad. The only thing that annoyed me was that human beings are portrayed as being very cowardly and sometimes the actions of the masses of players in the last quest are illogical.

Excellent addition to Genra!

I loved this book! The system information are there, but not overly intrusive. I loved how Jax is sent back to relive and fix the system so that there is hope. I loved the flashbacks in other points of view, and his companions.

I’m very interested in seeing where this book goes, and how the future is adjusted.

If you like rpg style books, I recommend you pick this up today!
