A True Bible

There are a lot of fitness and running books, but none focused strictly on running a marathon. It has some obvious tips and advice that you already know, but you have to hear them for your brain to take them seriously, so listen to this audio to affirm them, as they are important. Though most of the book covers aspects of running a marathon that you don’t know, like training, eating, salt intake, nutrition, staying safe, avoiding injuries, and more. It’s very clear the author has experience running and training for marathons, and he gives you his knowledge and expertise. Recommend to anyone remotely considering running a marathon or a shorter/longer version of one.

Great Resource

I have always wanted to get into ultra marathons. I have played around in big relay races before, like the Colorado Relay, but I want to go for the big boys. This book was a great guide to taking what I have already learned about racing and morphing it into what it needs to be to go the distance. I especially found the included PDF with this book helpful as far as the equipment requirements and the ideal support crew tips and details I was not aware of before. Great book to listen to while your build toward your goal to keep focused on those long training runs.

Run It

This audiobook is a good place to start for anyone wanting to get into ultra marathons or running in general. It goes over everything you need to know about ultra running and is heavily detailed. You'll even find information on training, preparation, and also nutrition.

You'll find race day strategies and tips that will come in handy on the day you compete. There's even a PDF of a QR code to generate customizable training plans for 50M or 100M races.

Even if you're not a runner, you'll become knowledgeable about what an ultra is and the step, procedures, and strategies needed in order to finish one.

This audiobook is a quick and easily digestible listen. The narrator does a great job with the jargon used in ultras and inspired me to start training for one!

Amazing book!

This audiobook hooked me from the introduction. It motivates you to keep going. Take a small step first, then bigger and bigger till final step. This book led you to stay motivated till you reach your destination. There are a plenty of Marathon training. You won’t miss how to avoid dehydration and there are a few tips for water tracking which is quite interesting. The bottom line is drink water regularly no matter how you feel thirsty or not. Good learning! There is more, keep listening… I would completely recommend it.

This will be my second time doing a triathlon and I Have to say that this book is packed with useful information on how to prepare both mentally and physically for a marathon.

One of the things I appreciated most about the audiobook was the clear and concise writing style. Good guide for the beginners

I'm interested in many things, and ultra-marathon is one of those.
I like understanding different areas of life, people's interests and hobbies. This helps me to have more engaging conversations when I meet new people.
Going back to the book. It's a great guide to knowing what steps are involved in ultramarathon training. A good read for someone starting out. Advise/tips in the book could save mistakes and 'learning through experience' and speed the process up. The language wasn't too technical and easy to understand. A real-life example - I enjoyed that too. Overall - great book and easy to listen to!
