Relaxing and calming for a first time over 35 mum to be.

It’s like the midwife is there answering all your inner thoughts. I’m a 1st time mum to be at early stage of pregnancy. I can’t speak to an actual midwife until weeks 7-8 and found this very reassuring, especially when you are experiencing everything for the first time and can’t talk about it till your 12 weeks! I will recommend this to every pregnant woman I meet from now on.

One word: FANTASTIC !!!!!

I don’t ever leave reviews, so take it from me when I say BUY THIS BOOK!!!!

Such a good read/ listen. I would HIGHLY recommend this book. I’m aiming to fall pregnant towards the end of this year as a first time mum. So it was nice to read such a POSITIVE perspective of preganacy and birth. It’s made me even more broody than before, and super excited for the journey of motherhood.

This book was easy to follow and clearly read. The author included so many top tips and tricks (perfect for 1st time mums and mums to be). I’m so glad I have this in my audible liberate as I’ll defo be listening to it again! Thank you for such an amazing book.

great book for learning about pregnancy and birth

really informative but not worrisome or dull. the author/narrator has a great tone, pace and sets the info at a good level to understand without being patronising

Super helpful

It was a very insightful book that touches upon many aspects of the first, second, third and fourth trimester. Though it didn’t go into immense depth of each stage of pregnancy, I preferred that; it covered different subjects and therefore I felt I could get a better overall understanding of the process. Will be going back to read again certain sections when I need a reminder on particular subject matters.
Great book!

Packed with personal anecdotes, new mother experiences and most of all actual scientifically proven facts (which other books on this subject can often overlook, instead relying on pseudoscience!)

Informative and comforting

I started this at the beginning of my pregnancy journey and have gradually listened to it through to my second trimester, it is very well read and has taught me a lot a feel so much more at ease about my pregnancy after listening to this book

Easy listening and informative

It’s really easy to dip in and out of over time. Some things I found basic but other more scientific elements about the body were interesting and will be useful in labour. She also talks through postpartum at length also which I wasn’t expecting but useful to know what to expect. Will listen to recipes again ans write down.

Very informative

Great start to my reading and covers exactly what it says in the title. Also excellent that it us from a midwife's perspective and based on research

Not suited for audiobook. Blind reassurances.

Recipes and instructions on how to do massages felt it wasn’t suited for audiobook.
A lot of “you’re amazing, you’ll be great”.
My husband listened with me and he felt quite excluded as the book is very woman-centric.
