Summary

Five-books-in-one complete box set! From the USA Today best-selling author, Amazon all-star award winner, and top 10 sci-fi writer of The Last War, Dark Days of the After, These Times of Abandon, and Population Zero comes a high-concept, adrenaline-fueled post-apocalyptic survival thriller like no other....

If the grid goes down and all hell breaks loose, will you have what it takes to survive?

A family breaking apart, a missing girl, the worst attack in American history…

.…how do you survive the collapse when you have already hit rock bottom?

When a sudden, unexplained spasm of violence rocks the country from coast to coast, several groups of survivors are left to wonder if this is the start of a new world war, or the last chapter of humanity itself.

Are humans in their final days?

The EMP has officially crippled the nation and her infrastructure sits in ruin. Can a burned-out DEA agent, a Guatemalan-born cartel daughter, and an estranged brother find their way back to their families, or will they succumb to the perils of a nation in steep decline?

Also available individually in paperback and Kindle editions.

The Complete Age of Embers is a no-holds-barred post-apocalyptic adventure series chronicling a nationwide descent into a powerless world. Although this series is written in the Last War universe, and characters from each series overlap, the two sagas can be enjoyed independent of each other.

The Complete Age of Embers Series:

  • The Age of Embers
  • The Age of Hysteria
  • The Age of Reprisal
  • The Age of Exodus
  • The Age of Defiance

Note: This series contains the kind of strong violence and adult situations you would expect in an end-times event. Listener discretion advised.

Now scroll up, grab yourself a copy of the box set, and settle in for one heck of a ride through the apocalypse!

Major Perv

This author gets 0 stars for being obsessed perv with little girls. Very sorry I wasted my money. It’s a shame Kevin Pierce is tied to this crap.

Awful

I can't take anymore and I'm only in the 5th chapter. Lewd descriptions of young women, constant obsession with rape of young women....no signs of an apocalypse yet and I'm finished. I'm no prude but this belongs in another section-usually under the counter. It is cringeworthy at best. I don't know how it got such good reviews.

Enlightening to what could be…

I really enjoyed The Age of Embers Series. There were a few times it was too wordy and over emphasis on every woman was so beautiful. Very enlightening about mankind’s fight for survival and the hardships people will face. The average person knowns nothing about food foraging, water purification, planting a garden, or protection. This will be a rude awakening with millions dying from violence or starvation. For the people that complained about graphic murder and rape that goes on you need to wake up. If and when an EMP destroys our electronic grid and decimates or infrastructure, we are screwed! The really bad people get worse and the good people either fight or die. Most people today do not have an inkling of what it is to survive off the land. Polite society will be gone with rape and murder at the forefront. I would like to think everyone would come together for a greater society. With holding hands and sing kumbaya but I’m not holding my breath. Women always laugh about men only thinking about food, sex, and sleep in that order. For every good man that would never take what’s not his there are ten who will and will kill for it. I may not live through and EMP, but it is possible that my grandchildren will. I’m happy to know that my sons have taught them how to survive.

Kevin for the win

I love listening to Kevin. His narration is always point on.

The series was good. Finally able to listen to a set the took two weekends of work.
The sci-fi aspect through me off a bit. But I greatly enjoyed the rest.

Too Many Speeches

It started off good but then in the second book the self righteous speeches started and kept going. That ruined it for me. I was just waiting for it to be over. Too preachy and the combat situations were unbelievable.

The most incompetent survivors

The narration was spot on. The premise of the story was interesting. The lack of thought put into what shape the supplies in the world will be in at 30, 60 or 90 days and more is just unhinged. The main characters are the most incompetent scavengers I could ever imagine. Also the fact that you can tell the "good people" because they'regood looking and christian and the "bad people" because they're ugly and never talk about their Christianity was a complete turn off.

I picked this up after interacting with the author advertising their books on reddit. I really wanted to like it. The narrator and the premise is the only reason I finished it.
