Summary

Get the first three audiobooks in the acclaimed apocalyptic thriller series plus the prequel novella!

"One of the best apocalyptic series of the year! Unputdownable!" (Book Riot)

In the dead of winter, an EMP attack destroys the U.S. power grid.

No electricity. No cars or phones. The country is plunged into instant chaos.

But for Hannah Sheridan, it's the best day of her life. For the last five years, she's been the captive of a sadistic psychopath—until the EMP releases the lock of her prison.

Battered but not broken, she emerges from her underground cell into a hostile winter wilderness with nothing but her determination to survive.

Reclusive ex-soldier Liam Coleman is headed nowhere fast. He believed he was prepared for any disaster, until the EMP took everything he'd ever cared about in a matter of seconds.

Two hundred frozen, perilous miles stand between them and their destination in rural Michigan. But the killing cold isn't the only threat, for Hannah's captor isn't about to let her go...When the country goes dark, ordinary people find themselves facing the end of the world as they know it. With society collapsing before their eyes, they'll have to risk everything to protect their home and the people they love.

Just want to continue in the series

Another step forward for Hannah and intrigued for book 4. As always it’s entertaining, harrowing and enjoyable. Read perfectly as per the others in the series

Interesting series

I really enjoyed these first 3 books plus prequel.
Some interesting characters that are developed through the series.

Yes as a other reviewer says, the story jumps between main characters but I feel it actually with a well and I’m jut always a fan of this style of writing.

I’m looking forward to finishing the series.

Oh and I enjoyed the narration, she did a good job.

name of book should be "all over the place"

There isn't a main character in this book. or rather, it keeps on changing. which, for me, isn't good. I get invested into a character, then the whole story changes without enough of a bridge to justify the shift.

As all the characters in the stories are connected, I assumed, they would intersect but it hasn't happened so far in book 3.

I was invested in the 1st protagonists. didn't care for the others or their stories.

if you're into that, it's not a bad book.

just no

I should have realized the female character would be useless. I'm not a fan of weak female characters. She went through hell, yes, but instead of being strong, she decided to be broken.

Awesome Author and Narrator

Stacy Glemboski
Is one of the best Narrator's.
She gives this series life.
And she keeps the listener hooked from the first word until the last.
It is so hard to press pause and do other things. You just want to take it all in.
This is the 3rd time that I hear this story, and it's still make me want to stop time and just
Listen... ♥️♥️

Not what I expected….

Probably best targeted at YA or new adoptees of the genre.

I bought the 1-3 book bundle or else I never would have gotten past book 1.

Book 1: Very little survival or dystopian storyline. The main character is so victimized and paralyzed with fear that it is frustrating.

The writing was was good, I just really disliked the story. I stayed for the narrator and the fact that I had bought the bundle and had hopes that one or both of the main characters would die before Book 2.

The other 2.5 books where fine, albeit very predictable. Never warmed up to one the main characters (Hannah Sheridan).

I liked that the author didn’t get into tons of killing, gear names, and survival tactics (while all that is awesome) and focused more on the characters. My complaint as a reader is that the characters were pretty shallow and unimaginative for the genre.

So glad I finished

I wrote an initial review based on the first book and thought I would not listen to any more of it. I thought it was painfully drawn out. However, now that I have been able to complete it, I love it. Great work. If I could delete my previous review, I would, and will if I can figure it out. I look forward to this author’s other books.

Book 3 lost me

The story seems to drag on and on. Book 3 was so boring that I skipped to the end to find no resolution. Unreal heroic situations, repetitive use of descriptors, painfully drawn out.
