Great series LOVED it although
The book should be renamed 'FLANKED CHIN DOWN'. Though I could not put this book down and thoroughly loved it, these phrases and little failures to my untrained ear stood out so bad they irritated me as they pulled me from my reverie. Need to send a Theasaurus to the writer and editor to show them other words exist other than 'FLANKED!' Used as often as 'THE' Also, 'dipped her chin' and 'dipped his chin' and everyone including the dam dog dipping his dam chin. FIND ANOTHER PHRASE!! in dark roads 3 chapter 9 there is an error where it switches to 1st person instead of 3rd. said 'I said' instead of 'he said' In Fight back 5 chapter 6 husband says 'I think that is where they might.be Golding my wife we need ti head there Newland Clyde LICKS HIS LIPS!!!! WHAT!??? WHY WOULD HE LICK HIS LIPS! Too much clumsy effort to give small descriptions of movements like this going on. Fight Back chapter 5 also both women in 2 different states who have never met use the same phrase to the letter saying 'its not like I've not felt pain like this before'. Such clumsy mistakes but why hasn't it been picked up by the writers support team!? in particular the Editor!! But would still recommend this series just feel it was let down but all of these errors making the author feel inexperienced and new which is a shame as apart from that the whole series was soooo good. You must defo buy. just tolerate the annoying cock ups

Promising but disappointing in the end
Started well and looked promising. The plot was all over the place with no explanations as to why some poor victim of a horrendous crime was sought after by a bloody army of bad guys and half the countries Police force who were as bent as a 9 bob note. Another writer who includes a dog that could pass an A level in English and military strategy, Bad guys who are Fearless of pursuing fully armed individuals in black places. And the of course there was Spencer, the incredible rubber industructable man, half Special Force's half pervert, I mean most authors get away with one nick of time rescue but this guy should be in the Olympics for it. I fear it became repetitive predictive and unfulfilled, there was an immense amount of routine detail such as floors creaking doors squeaking guns put out of reach, but sadly, details on the important stuff such as who the hell was Mr Big and why were a load of hoods doing his every bidding, in the criminal fraternity, the Armed Robber is King but the child molester (nonce) is below the bottom of the pile I fear they would have taken his money and cut his throat at the same time. No, as my old History Teacher used to say 'needs more work'

Meh
It's OK, no real detail other than a bizzare number of coincidences. No prepper details, no technical references, no real story line.
The narrator or the editor have done a terrible job of switching between characters, sometimes it can get very confusing untill a charators name is mentioned then you know you have switched to the other side of the country.

flat, repetitive and a nonsense of a story line
the reason I bought the book(s) was the length. the reason I slogged through it after realizing it was going to be a long and tough ride very early on: I couldn't believe it was possible to repeat the same dribble in all 5 books. characters are completely one dimensional. descriptions are thrown in everywhere without ever bringing the story forward or causing some excitement to build.
