Summary

The Paladins are still short one of their number for them to finally be considered a complete fighting force—the thirteen Champions of the gods.

Hence, Ahren and his friends, make their way onto the Ice Fields in the far south, following what scant clues there are in their efforts to track down the man considered to be the father of all Forest Guardians and who was last seen hunting down the fearsome dragon, Four Claws. An odyssey on sea and ice awaits them—and they know full well that HE, WHO FORCES will be putting up ferocious resistance in his desire to see them fall at the last hurdle . . .

Binge Worthy Epic

I like that the series sticks with the main characters, but each book introduces more characters with their own story; it brings depth to the series and turns it into an epic. I binge-listened to the first 12 and eagerly await the series' final chapters.

Excellent 12th book!

Can’t wait for the 13th final volume concluding this series. Love the characters; the storyline is intriguing and exciting; all brilliantly read by Gilbert Jackson. Thank you Gilbert - the 11th book wasn’t the same enjoyable narration without you.
Really like this author’s work!

can't help when the all powerful paladins are coming

Why are the paladins constantly almost dying every single fight with dark ones.

On back of that the so called best armour has so many weak points that they come back with stab wounds, almost killing them in some fights

Why is every single magic user crippled due tireness. Some of them are supposed to be thousand/s of years old. In all that time how have they not worked on there magic at all to make it efficient for combat for longer than a few hours and not requiring a week or more of bed rest

I've been lied to by the books blurb, the all powerful Paladins, woop de do they nearly die each fight.

Only reason I am continuing till the end is to get some closure on a lemming series of audibles
