Summary

Rowe Prince is a lying liar who windmills into my life in full color, claiming to be Sterling Chase, a quirky, eccentric billionaire…and founder of the company I created.

Two can play at the lying game, though, and I’m not about to let some burrito-delivering, floppy-haired virgin from Indiana best me at a game I was born to play.

So I do him one better and pretend to be Sterling Chase’s new assistant. I’ll teach him a lesson that will hopefully wind us both up in bed… with nothing but the truth between us.

But it turns out his shameless lies are enchanting…unintentionally hilarious…and make it all too easy to forget the truth....

Until I learn that this cutie’s intent is to defraud the company I’ve spent years building. I have to choose: Risk the company or say goodbye to the man I’m falling for. A guy who just might be….

Adorably charming

I've read next to nothing by Lucy Lennox before, but after this book, that will quickly change. I really loved Prince of Lies. I thought the writing style was wonderful and I quickly became immersed in the story of Bash and Rowe.
The storyline was original and interesting because others besides Rowe knew his character at the fundraiser was a fake and it was just too delightful to witness. There were many funny moments and despite his lies, for which Rowe has good reasons, he is very likeable, full of drive and zest for life and in between he is delightfully naive, which brought a smile to my face more than once. A protagonist you quickly take to your heart - at least I did.
I also liked Bash immensely, because he doesn't immediately blow the charade, but has a very enjoyable evening instead of the very boring expected evening.
The story scores with its characters and that includes the secondary protagonists, namely Bash's brothers, who I would love to learn more about. I also found the mix of humor, warmth, romance, drama and suspense as well as the incipient feelings very successful.
The audiobook captivated me from the beginning and I listened to it in just two days because I was dying to know what happened next.

Michael Dean was fantastic and brought the audiobook to life with his voice and performance. He found appropriate voices for the different characters and he portrayed the emotions just brilliantly. He was an absolute pleasure to listen to and now I can't wait to listen to more volumes with the brothers!

Delightfully Charming & Entertaining~Amazing🎧📚🎧

This book is an absolute delight, Lucy Lennox is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style and way with words. The story she created is interesting and original, it swept me right in, grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire time. The characters are relatable and easy to connect with, they are easy to care about and even fall in love with, everyone needs a Rowe Prince in their lives, even if he was a lying liar, he had his reasons and I would stand by him for those reasons, he is simply adorable, quirky, and full of life, a joy to be around. He gets himself invited to a gala, but the invitation is in someone else’s name, Sterling Chase, so he just assumes the identity and goes with it, except he is not very good at going with it and the more he takes the more he puts his foot in his mouth. Sebastian “Bash” Dayne had to cancel his adventure to attend the fundraising gala, he dreaded going to them but his mother asked him to, but what he thought was going to be a boring night turned into anything but. Someone invaded his hiding space, not any someone but Sterling Chase, except he knows Sterling Chase and how he came about. Being bored with life, this poser intrigued him and he went along with his charade and act and then his life turns into a whole different kind of adventure. I loved how everything played out in this story, it is cleverly plotted with the perfect balance of drama, angst, charm, humor and witty banter, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. This is the type of book once you start you do not want to put down and not just because it is enjoyable, which it is, but because you want to know what happens next. It is a story that will put a smile on your face, the characters, both lead and secondary are amazing. Lucy Lennox, thank you for this wonderfully delightful story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I will never have a burrito again without thinking of the Burrito Bandito.

🎧📚🎧And for the terrific narration, Michael Dean did a great job bringing these characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they were and his portrayal of them was spot on. He set the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor effortlessly. Michael Dean is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen.

Fun!

Absolutely loved this story. Not only is there a fantastic cast of characters (I’m going to go see if there are more!) but there was a wonderful mix of humor and heart. Loved both Bash and the trouble that Rowe got into was both funny but also just showed how wonderfully naive he is. What a fun story and Michael Dean did a wonderful job bringing it to life. Can’t wait for the next one

The blurb is misleading--in a good way!

I normally buy Lucy's audio books the second they come out. She's funny, charming, heartwarming, and exactly the kind of diversion I need these days. But that doesn't mean she lacks depth.

I hesitated to buy this book because the blurb made it sound like one of her rare angsty titles. It totally isn't! This book is light and fun, and I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of The Brotherhood.

Michael Dean is great as always.

A New Favorite!!!

This is a new favorite book for me. Rowe and Bash are fabulous together. I love seeing these two work to get their HEA. This book is funny and had me laughing from the beginning. There are also plenty of sweet moments as well. This is already a favorite author of mine, and this book further cements that. I would love to see this be the first book of a new series!

Ludacris and perfect

This was my first Lucy Lennox and I’m glad it was. I absolutely adored this. It’s not realistic int he slightest but it has all the warm hearted feels and limited drama I was needed. Perfect for a feel good pick me up read. The end had me sniffling slightly, in a good way! 💙

oh my word!!!

This was so cute. I freaking knew I shouldn't have tried listening while working. I was so engrossed in this cute and fun story that I couldn't focus on my work properly.

Lucy Lennox is so great at writing stories with found families that I just know we will get more of The Brotherhood. I thoroughly enjoyed this listen and found myself going "aww" a couple of times.

What can I say about the narration? Michael Dean gave a stellar performance as usual. He is just getting better and better as time goes on. He is also a reason I tend to give some books a chance. But Lucy didn't need him. This book was awesome on its own.

Great listen and well worth a credit.
