Summary
An MM romance story of survival, healing, and finding the courage to love.
Harper Reid has no money and nowhere to go, but he can't spend one more day under the same roof as his abusive boyfriend. Desperate to start fresh, he takes on a special case through the caregiver agency that contracts him. The client has fired everyone else, but this job includes lodging, so Harper will find a way to make it work until he's back on his feet.
High-flying, eccentric Riley Davenport has lost his sight, effectively clipping the vivacious man's wings. Learning to navigate in darkness is difficult enough without being treated like a house plant by his girlfriend, parents, and friends. The last thing he needs is another pushy caregiver, hovering over him curtailing the last of his freedom.
But Harper Reid is different...very different. Nervous, quiet, reserved. It's almost like Harper has secrets and is the one who needs to be taught how to live again. And why does he smell like sugar cookies? Men aren't supposed to smell delicious.
Trigger warnings: off-screen domestic abuse, adult language, explicit consensual sexual content.

what can I say.....
my first book by this author and I was sceptical as abuse stories freak me out. but my god how I loved it!! Riley (iggy) was just bloomin' fantastic and Harper (greg) also just as fab. definitely a standing ovation worthy narration. I laughed and cried and I'm so ecstatic they got their HEA. Bravo to the author. Will definitely read more of your books! xoxo

All the stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
5 stars amazing! 🌟
I absolutely adored this book! The narration was wonderful and story fantastic! Trigger warnings for domestic abuse (previous relationship). I just loved how they helped each other through their struggles but both ended up being able to function independently as well. Worth every penny.

Disability Rep (newly blind)
Abusive exes (Trigger Warning: off and on-page violent attacks)
This author managed to take 2 MCs, both coming from terrible circumstances and still make it an absolutely hilarious, fun story. One straight man named Riley who has a crazy obsession with food whom happens to be newly blinded and newly single from a woman who held his progress back and one gay man named Harper who is a care nurse who left an abusive relationship and needs a live in job and whom Riley thinks smells like cookies and also "the worlds ugliest dog" who had multiple name changes everyday. I haven't laughed or swooned this much in a long time. I absolutely recommend this book.
Narration = 4.5 stars
This audiobook is a duel narration. Both narrators were great at keeping a good pace and expressing all the emotions wonderfully and brought the story to life. Greg Boudreaux has a wonderful reading voice and did distinct character voices to make it really easy to follow and a joy to listen to. I think Iggy portrayed Rileys quarky personality well but in the chapters he did both the MCs viuces the same. So for that I had to leave off half a star.

Brilliant book
I read this book a while ago and I’ve been waiting for the audio version. The narrators did an amazing job bringing Harper and Riley to life. Audio hits different, you feel instead this the story like your right there with them. The hurt and trauma poor Harper went though was heartbreaking but upon meeting Riley his life changed. Riley is full of humour even through his blindness he always sees the positive. These two are everything. Dianna gave us an amazing story.

such a great story
I read this book a little while ago and I adored it so I'm glad it's now on audio too. This book was so good and is one of the stories that will stay with me. In this story we meet app developer Riley who is blind after an accident and carer/visual impairment rehabilitation therapist who has escaped a violent relationship and is looking for a place to live. They meet when Riley needs a new live in helper and the get along from the start. Harper ends up helping Riley with his rehabilitation and they become very close and Riley realises that he isn't as straight as he thought but Riley is still working on his issues from his relationship. It was definitely a heartfelt love story and it had some serious issues but there were some funny bits too and I was pleased to see the snark i enjoy from Dianna's writing. And I loved the dog Larry too.it really was a great book 💜 I thought the narration fitted the characters too.

Humorous and Heartfelt!
This audible was quite a GEM! I loved every single second I listened too! Greg and Iggy nailed this narration. They gave me all the happy and sometimes sad feels! Riley despite his recent blindness was so upbeat about life and finding love with Harper just naturally happened. I smiled and laughed and just felt good. Riley and Harper are two of the most lovable characters and this audible brought it all out. Highly recommend you listen to their story.

absolutely fantastic
I cannot tell you enough, you have to listen to this book!!
it's so emotional and deep and heart shattering but you get put back together is the most loving awesome way.
Along with being deep, it's also funny. you will catch yourself laughing out loud.
Riley had an accident that caused him to go blind. His girlfriend treats him terrible so he breaks up with her.
Harper was in an abusive relationship and he ended up really hurt. He is VRT and he gets the job to help Riley.
The love that these two discover is so beautiful.
I will listen to this book many times.

Beyond fabulous story
The Audiobook is fabulous! The Narrators did an absolutely amazing job.
I loved the story so much. Top notch storytelling. It covered heavy subject matters but it still had humor, warmth, acceptance, healing, friendship and hope. It made me cry several times, and I hurt for the MC’s, but it did not feel hopeless.
The MC’s were nothing short of amazing. Both dealing with their own significant issues. And to add to all that, it was bi-awakening for Riley, who was just Incredible!
There is a lot more I would love to mention but I don’t want to give spoilers. This is absolutely one of the best books i have ever read/listened to. Must listen!

This story was so good! At times I was in tear then laughing. It was well narrated and was a good same sex story that wasn’t all about sex. It was there without being every 15 minutes. Thanks for a great story

I cried, but not at the sad parts
I cried not because parts were sad, but at the happy parts because it gave me hope that one day I'll be there too... I identified so hard with these characters and my life is a million times different than thiers.

Beautiful Story
Beautifully narrated. I really enjoyed this story from the 1st page. Even when I wanted to shake Harper. Loved Riley's character. Loved them as a couple.
