Summary

Moonfall, the picturesque town nestled in the mountains of southern California, is a quaint hamlet of antique stores, cider mills, and pie shops, and Apple Heaven, run by the dedicated nuns of St. Gertrude's Home for Girls, is the most popular destination of all. As autumn fills the air, the townspeople prepare for the Halloween Haunt, Moonfall's most popular tourist attraction. Even a series of unsolved deaths over the years hasn't dimmed Moonfall's enthusiasm for the holiday.

Now, orphan Sara Hawthorne returns to teach in the hallowed halls of St. Gertrude's where, 12 years before, her best friend died a horrible death. In Sara's old room, distant voices echo in the dark and the tormented cries of children shatter the moon-kissed night.

But that's just the beginning. For Sara Hawthorne is about to uncover St. Gertrude's hellish secret...a secret she may well carry with her to the grave.

"Combines eerie eroticism with page-turning terror." (Pasadena Weekly)

Moonfall

What a book!! What a great read (listen). The story kept me hooked from the first page and as the story unravelled, I could not stop until the end, listening for a full day and half the night until the end, as the characters, who were so well written, I could visualise them and wanted to follow them until the very gripping end, I loved it, perfect mix of horror and intrigue, with a satisfying end. Well narrated too! I look forward to reading more from this brilliant author!!

Enjoyed

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. This book was not scary at all. The way the story was narrated, makes you feel like you are right there watching it as it was unfolding. I look forward to more books by this author.

Spine Tingling

This was a fantastically creepy story. Some aspects seemed a little predictable, but it didn’t take away the goosebumps or general horror I felt while reading/listening to this story.
Witches, Nuns, Gargoyles, Ghosts and more this book had it all. Not to mention it was centered around... you guessed it, Halloween. The narration was wonderful. I wasn’t sure at first, but quickly realized that Jamison Walker has the perfect voice for this genre. Well done!
I highly recommend this book.
