Summary

Midnight. Some call it the witching hour. Others call it the devil’s hour. Here in the graveyard, midnight is a very special time. It is a time when ghostly spirits are at their strongest, when the veil between our world and theirs is at its thinnest. Legend has it, that while most of the world is asleep, the lack of prayers allow the spirits to communicate under the cover of darkness, among the headstones, their whispers rustling in the leaves of the old oak trees. But if you’re here in the graveyard, you can tell yourself it’s just the wind, that the moonlight is playing tricks on your eyes, that it’s only the swirling mist you see. But when you hear the graveyard gate clang shut, the dead have something to say. Here are their stories …

Decent collection

I enjoyed some of the stories more than others but it is a collection so I listened to them all, also a freebie.

Great

A great mix of horror stories. I very much doubt you’d like all of them, but they are short and Free!
Narrator was good, unsure why he’d received some bad reviews, there’s far worse narrators on here.
The glimmer girls story is heartbreaking, as it’s based on The Radium Girls. Real life ladies who had to fight for justice. 🤍

A mix of fearful, futuristic & fascinating stories!

This book has a great selection of varied horror/ghost stories from the past, present and even the possibility of the future.
The Narrator has the ability to make the stories believable using the different tones of his voice, which submerges the listener into the many tales of ethereal murders, spectral suicidal intentions and emotional events that unfold in each of these ghostly stories.
If you’re a fan of grisly graveside ghouls and twisted tales of doom, then this audiobook is definitely for you.

Boring.

The narrators had a monotone voice which made it quite hard to follow the stories.

Top notch horror

This a long but fantastic collection of horror short stories. The narration is very good, except for one story where his London accent goes very badly wrong. Otherwise, well told.
