Summary
Too much terror to contain....
Shadows reach out with darkened claws. The floorboards creek as your greatest fears stalk the halls. And no matter how much you tell yourself it is just a dream, you know the truth. Evil hides in the darkness. And now, it has finally been unleashed....
Scare Street gathers volumes one to three of Terror in the Shadows in a single edition. Over 30 tales stalk this macabre collection. And just when you think you’ve experienced the most chilling horror of all, a new story unfolds within this massive tome of fear.
A shiver runs down your spine. You break out in a cold sweat, as the wind whispers outside. You know you should shut the window and lock the doors. But you’re frozen by fear.
You’re trapped within a nightmare, as a new tale begins...and there’s no escape in sight.

Enjoyable Stories
I have to admit, at first I wasn't keen on listening to several short stories, but once I was listening I found I enjoyed them. They were all done very well and kept my interest. I actually started enjoying the different stories and looked forward to what the next one would bring. Thom Bowers, as always, is an excellent narrator. Good stories if you like supernatural stuff.

A feast of horror
If the horror genre is your thing, then look no further than this collection. A set of stories by some of the finest writers, you will certainly have more than enough material to keep entertained for hours and hours. Some really made me feel very uncomfortable and the sheer length of the three volumes made me feel quite relieved when I came to the end, but I would still recommend highly.

A good mix, with highlights & lowlights of horror
With my ever-increasing lack of concentration, I enjoy horror short stories, but many compilations can be dreary, repetitive and unimaginative.
This massive book, however, contains some surprising gems for bedtime stories!
There is a range of quality and some lack scares, but others stand out as memorable, creepy and suspenseful with good twists.
Worth a shot as performed well and overall, beyond cliche.

Hard Work
Couldn't make it through. The stories themselves seemed pretty good, it was the over the top reading that ruined it for me.
Disappointing because overall, the stories I actually made it through were enjoyable. I was just massively turned off by the narrator.
Possibly reading the book would be a better option.

Great Read, Even Better Listen
I own all the books in this series in both Kindle and Now Audible formats. While I Love being able to read the books, being able to listen to them while driving my car too is even better. There's nothing better than a short trip to the store and being able to listen to something just perfect enough for short trips. Highly Recommended.

Bite sized horror!
I'm a big fan of some of these authors so had to give this anthology a listen, and thankfully I wasn't disappointed. Ron Ripley, Sara Clancy, David Longhorn and A. I. Nasser I've all read before but Sharon M. White, Julia Grace and Arwa Hezzah are new to me. As with nearly every book I've read by Scare Street, these bite sized horror stories are creepy, scary, mysterious and extremely well written.
Each story was well written, some were a lot creepier than others but each one was thoroughly enjoyable and kept me hooked. It will take me forever to summerise each one, so all I'll say is sit back and enjoy some truly amazing short stories!! Each author has their own distinctive style but one thing they have in common is their ability to tell a story. I pretty much loved each story and was able to listen to this a lot because I could stop at the end of a story and do what I needed, then jump back into the next one.
Thom Bowers has grown a lot as a narrator and has become a better performer. He read each story really well and gave each character their own voice and personality.
I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

None of the stories seem to wind up
I realize as a child raised in the '70s and '80s on sitcoms I have certain expectations about how a story should be wrapped up but these stories don't give you any kind of resolution at the end. Most of them end with something like "Jack saw the monster coming at him and began to scream". Next story.
Scare Street seems to simply be trying to pump them out at this point.
The only thing that got me to the end of the book was the narrator. I think he's extremely talented. I never have any trouble distinguishing characters.
If you don't have a problem with a story with a cliff hanger you might enjoy this book.

What a way to...
Introduce yourself to some of todays best horror story writers! A.I.Nasser is always a super great read but I’ve now fallen in love with Sara and Ron too! The short stories contained in the 3 volumes gives you a great introduction to a variety of stories, ghosts and authors. Give these a try for a scary good time!!!

You Can't Go Wrong With Scare Street
I just love this group of authors and the bizarre nature of their story lines. You may not even know you have had these nightmares until you hear the story and begin to recall a similar one that you selectively forgot....until now.

Disappointing
This answers the burning question: what would a short story series sound like if it was written by a computer and read by a recent graduate of the William Shatner school of acting
