Story
Moonfall, the picturesque town nestled in the mountains of southern California, is a quaint hamlet of antique stores, cider mills, and pie shops, and Apple Heaven, run by the dedicated nuns of St. Gertrude's Home for Girls, is the most popular destination of all. As autumn fills the air, the townspeople prepare for the Halloween Haunt, Moonfall's most popular tourist attraction. Even a series of unsolved deaths over the years hasn't dimmed Moonfall's enthusiasm for the holiday.

Midnight. Some call it the witching hour. Others call it the devil’s hour. Here in the graveyard, midnight is a very special time. It is a time when ghostly spirits are at their strongest, when the veil between our world and theirs is at its thinnest. Legend has it, that while most of the world is asleep, the lack of prayers allow the spirits to communicate under the cover of darkness, among the headstones, their whispers rustling in the leaves of the old oak trees. But if you’re here in the graveyard, you can tell yourself it’s just the wind....

Demons and love it doesn’t get better!
- By Janalyn on 09-08-20
Summary
American horror story...
Its violent, sordid past is what draws best-selling author David Masters to the infamous Victorian mansion called Baudey House. Its shrouded history of madness and murder is just the inspiration he needs to write his ultimate masterpiece of horror. But what waits for David and his 16-year-old daughter, Amber, at Baudey House, is more terrifying than any legend.
First comes the sultry hint of jasmine...followed by the foul stench of decay. It is the dead seducing the living in an age-old ritual of perverted desire and unholy blood lust. For David and Amber, an unspeakable possession has begun.
"...a tapestry of chills and scares that will be remembered long after the lights have gone out." (Douglas Clegg)
"Combines eerie eroticism with page-turning terror." (Pasadena Weekly)

Haunted
I really enjoy this book. I love how the author incorporated so many different aspects of the paranormal into the story. I love the fact that when the spirits had the chance to turn this into a very graphic sexual story, the author choose to go with small bits and history of the home being a house of ill repute. I think my favorite was the original door knobs. Fantastic story and wonderful narration!!!

Powerful but erotic, too.
I wouldn't recommend for the hormonally challenged, but a very good book. A unique twist on haunted homes. I loved the landscape of the book and the characters were great. The realtor was an unscrupulous seductress from the get go. A few times I wanted to holler "No!". But they did it anyway. Overall, a good nail biting book with a lot of eroticism included...

This is my 2nd time reading this story
Long lost love, an evil cruelty that spanned through death, and a novelist looking for a story is what this book is about.
It was easy to visualize this house and it's bloody past. The characters were developed throughout the book and easy to love or hate.
The narrator did a great job individualizing each person.
I loved reading this both times!

Excellent haunted House tale.
I love the story and the slow build. Characters were well developed and the horror ratchets up slowly. The final act left me a wee bit disappointed. I thought the players acted out of character in order for the final showdown to take place. But overall, a very enjoyable story.

Creepy And Enchanting ❤
Tamara Thorne is one of those gifted authors that takes you by the hand from the very beginning & doesn't let go until the end.
It's a captivating story, considering that the quintessential haunted house story has been done to repetitive boredom.
She writes the way people really talk, she doesn't over describe people, places or things.
She gives you just enough to let your imagination take over; which is how it should be. The Narrator did a splendid job of varying her tone, pitch & cadence of her voice for different characters. You will genuinely & sincerely care about some of the characters;
and despise & detest others. I got frustrated when I had to stop, when life life happened.
Couldn't wait to get back to it. I absolutely loved this book. I promise you that even though you might think you have the end figured out;
You won't believe how she really finished it. ❤
I just have one question; I wonder if Tamara Thorne believes in Ghosts ? 😉
